There’s even a private beach! The Octagon is the ultimate Maine getaway that offers a perfect blend of serene nature and convenience to Rockland, Tenants Harbor, Owl's Head, Port Clyde, Camden and more. The view simply can’t beat from every room in the house! Great for a honeymoons, anniversaries and romantic getaways.

The space
This gorgeous post and beam house is a true architectural dream. It boasts vaulted ceilings in the living room and upstairs loft bedroom, a gorgeous brick and granite chimney that runs up the center of this unique octagonal space, and floor to ceiling windows connecting you to nature, ocean, and wildlife. It is an open concept space, with just two rooms that have doors (the side bedroom with a Queen bed, and the downstairs bathroom), so if you are coming with friends, know that there isn’t much privacy!

- Bedroom 1 - Loft: Expansive, breathtaking views from an extremely comfortable GREENGUARD Gold Certified hybrid-latex king size bed, silky soft luxurious sheets, clawfoot tub with ocean views, lounge area, and a toilet (open concept with privacy screen). This room has no walls or a door.

- Bedroom 2 - Side Room: Gorgeous views of the small cove right outside the windows, with one of the most comfortable beds you could ever imagine (we’ve been told) with a GREENGUARD Gold Certified BioFoam Queen size mattress, silky soft luxurious sheets, and desk.

- Downstairs Bathroom: Yes, this bathroom has a door!! With walk-in shower as well.

- Kitchen: Fully stocked with everything you’ll need to make delicious meals! Stove, toaster, microwave, full-size fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, pots/pans, dishes, etc.

Guest access
You will have access to the full house and 3 acres of seaside beauty. There is one other rental on property, so you may be sharing the outdoor space with other guests, and our cleaner may need to go down into the basement of the house if she’s needing to get something to clean the studio above the garage. There is a private yard, beach to hang out at, swim, and launch kayaks - or watch the incredible wildlife including many bald eagles, osprey, seals, and even porpoises!

Other things to note
PLEASE NOTE: This is an open concept space - there is very little privacy if you are traveling with other people.

No smoking on premises.

There is no way to cover every window in the house with curtains, so if you’re sleeping in the loft you may want to consider an eye mask if you aren’t a fan of light in the mornings.

There is no working security system so please keep that in mind if it is important to you.

You may see other cars and guests on property as it is shared with a studio apartment with gusts above the garage.

The place itself is tucked away in rural ocean paradise, and yet is the perfect place to explore all Mid Coast Maine has to offer. Just 15 mins from Rockland - with many amazing galleries, the Farnsworth Museum, award winning restaurants, and quaint shops. We are also minutes from Tenant's Harbor, a quintessential Maine seaside town, glorious Owl's Head, and Port Clyde, which is not only extremely picturesque, but also has a ferry that goes out to Monegan Island. Camden is also just under a half hour from here. There are hiking trails within walking distance from the house, and many more a short drive away.
