We had arranged with Glynis to call her when we arrived and she was there about 5min later. She was very welcoming and showed us around the flat and explained how things worked, what's around the village and how to get the Slieve League. The flat was just as advertised and had everything we needed in the kitchen - she had even left us scones with jam and butter and a wee milk for our tea/coffee in the fridge. The only small thing was that many of the items in the kitchen were not properly cleaned by previous visitors, but that was quickly sorted by washing it before use.
Thank you for your review . I am sorry if some of the items in the kitchen were overlooked . i would have rectifyed it had it been brought to my attention during your stay and there was no mention on departure i am pleased you enjoyed your stay . And hope to welcome you again in the future.
Glynis met us at the flat on our arrival at Slieve League. She spent time with us showing us the workings of the appliances, heating system & television. She told us about the road to the views on Slieve League--and we headed up there later in the afternoon after an early dinner. She also had tips about other places of interest in the local area. The apartment was very well laid out for a quiet rest and the decor is beautiful. It added so much to the peacefulness of this location. The photos on the Airbnb website are exactly what we found the flat to be, but it is so much more when you are actually living there. Loved it!!
Glynnis went above and beyond her call of duty...she was warm, friendly and very helpful - what more could we ask for...then there's the apartment which was fantastic - it's fully loaded with every minor detail catered for. We all had a pleasant stay such much so where planning our next stay here in the summer. Thank you!!
Don't hesitate in booking this apartment!!
This is a great self catering apartment in the centre of the village of Carrick. The accomodation is well presented throughout and is really clean. We didn't get to meet the owner Glynis this time, but hopefully will in the future, because we will be back! The location is excellent for exploring south west Donegal by foot, bike or car.
Slieve League Apartment was spotless, well appointed and a lot larger than what was conveyed on sight. Glynis is a wonderful host and very caring. She got our stay off to a very good start with a starter pack which saved us the worry of having to shop before we arrived. Her facilities are first class and we will recommend her to our friends.
We had a wonderful stay in Donegal. The apartment was beautiful and very cosy. It had everything that we needed. We loved the area and had a fabulous time. We Wished we could of stayed longer.. Will be back for sure! The owner Glynis was very nice and friendly.
