The apartment is divided in two levels, downstairs you will find 2 bedrooms (one is our childrens room), toilet and a nice living room with a big couch and a tv.
Upstairs you will find the bathroom and a huge open kitchen (60m2) from where you can access the roof top terrace (6 m2). The terrace is perfect for a barbeque on a warm summer evening or enjoying your breakfast before your citywalk. Upstairs we have also made a cosy chill out area, that consist of a large double madras with lots of soft pillows. It can easily be converted to a double bed for 2 persons which make the apartment ideal for two couples or if you are traveling with tweens or teenagers. The morning light can be brigth up stairs, but if that's not a problem for you, it is a wonderful and silent to sleep under the stary sky.
For families with kids this place will be very ideal since we are leaving a lot of toys for your children to play with! The apartment is in a quiet area with playground and a public indoor swimmingpool just across the street ((by the way, public swimmingpools in Denmark have very high standards for hygiene). Kids below 3 years of age (accompagnied by their parents - off course! :-)) does not have to pay to stay in the apartment.

And getting here from the airport is super easy and quick! The penthouse is only a 5 minutes walk from the Metro that connects you to the Airport in 29 minutes, and the center of Copenhagen in 5 minutes.
If you are arriving from the airport you take the metro M2 (direction Vanløse) and get of at the stop "Frederiksberg".

Martin and Signe's apartment is really lovely. It is clean, filled with lots of natural light, and has a fantastic layout. The top floor, in particular, consists of a large, airy room with the kitchen, dining table, a reading nook under skylight windows, and a small balcony with plants and flowers, overlooking the courtyard. Martin and Signe were very generous and offered us the use of their children's toys, which our kids were all too delighted to play with.
The apartment is just a 5-minute walk to the Frederiksberg metro and shopping center and from there, just two metro stops to Nørreport station. There are lots of grocery stores, cafes, little shops and take-away restaurants nearby and the neighborhood is very charming and filled with lots of old, gracious apartment buildings.
Martin and Signe sweetly left us some Danish treats to welcome us and called to check if we needed anything.
We stayed there for three weeks and our family was reluctant to leave. I highly recommend their flat!
The apartment is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood, within an easy walking distance to both metro and bus station and various grocery stores. There is a playground both in front of the house and in the back, both visible from the apartment.
The apartment itself is very clean, spacious, light and airy and has everything you need, including a washer, a dryer, a great stove and lots of lego. The children's bed are rather small (our ten year old just fit), but they would have an inflatable double-mattress if needed. The reading nook - which we loved! - could also sleep one, but only during the dark months, since it gets lots of sun during the summer months. Their balcony is wind-shielded, which makes it very nice and warm.
Signe and Martin are great hosts. Martin met us upon arrival and showed us everything and also asked us during our stay if there was anything we needed. We, a family of four, really felt at home. Even when we weren't able to explore the city due to a stomach bug our kids caught, we enjoyed just staying home, reading and relaxing.
Actually we'd rather not recommend their place to loudly since we want to keep it available for future visits :-)
Signe and Martins apartment was simply great. We spent a week there and had a wonderful time.
The apartment is very bright, beautiful and spacious and it was great to kick off there after long days all over Copenhagen. The placement is very good, the neighbourhood is nice and it is very close to the metro, where there is also a good mall with good shops. There are also small shops close by and good and price worthy restaurants around.
The apartment is very child-friendly and our younger boy (6) was right at home in the kids room and played a lot with the toys. Our teenager loved sleeping under the window on the upper floor, watching the stars at night. The private garden and the playground across the street were well appreciated by our young one, as well as the swimming pool which is by the playground. The beautiful balcony are truly the extra bonus and we drank our morning coffee there in the sun and flipped some meat and sausages on the barbecue in the evening. The apartment is well equipped and there was nothing we lacked.
We met Signe only when we came and left and she was very nice person and we felt especially welcome.
We give them and their apartment our best recommendations and we would absolutely stay there again.
My wife and I stayed at Martin and Signe's stylish and very well equipped two bedroom penthouse apartment for a wonderful 15 night vacation in Copenhagen. The apartment is brilliantly located between a metro/subway stop and a high frequency bus stop that got us into center city within 5-10 minutes...with a bike, about the same time and probably more fun, too. It is also within walking distance to the neighborhood of Norrebro, which gave us fun food and music opportunities. The apartment is quiet and provided us good sleep, as well as totally relaxing times on the terrace. The neighborhood is super safe with two large and several small food markets and many restaurants and shops in five minutes walk. Though we do not have children, yet, I am sure that one or two pre-schoolers would enjoy their stay, too. LOTS of kids in the neighborhood for them to play with in the playgrounds across the street and in the building courtyard. This is the apartment I would want to live in, if the future ever holds a move to Copenhagen.
