Other things to note
Hi there! My wife, Elysia, our pups, and I live on the property and work remotely (while the pups nap, of course).

We’ve soundproofed your room, but you may hear occasional everyday sounds from the main house, like footsteps, flushing, or showering. The pups may also give a friendly bark from behind the fence, but don’t worry—they won’t have access to your space.

A few important notes to keep things smooth and clear:

• 2 GUEST MAXIMUM – no exceptions. La Palma’s city ordinance allows only 2 guests per bedroom. Infants under 1 are welcome, but any child over 1 counts toward the guest total. The space is not childproofed.

• No daytime guests allowed unless approved first.

• No cooking in the unit, as it only has a bathroom sink (which can clog with food). We’ve stocked the space with paper plates/bowls, utensils, a cutting board, and a microwave for easy reheating and simple meals.

• The portable A/C vents through the bathroom window, so the accordion-style door won’t close when it’s running. The unit is easy to pop on and off as needed. Instructions provided in our welcome guide.

• A space heater is provided during chilly months to keep things cozy.

• Our tankless water heater means unlimited hot water but it may take up to 3 minutes to heat up, especially in the morning.
