We spend almost a month in Helena's apartment with our 9-month old daughter which worked out very good.
Helena is a very good hosts. Helena responded quickly on emails and gave us a lot of recommendation on what to do, eat and drink in Barcelona which was great! Helena's brother met us in the apartment upon arrival and gave us all necessary information. He was also available for any questions during our stay which was nice.
The apartment is corresponding to the description and was clean and well organized. It has a very good location in Born, central but still quiet corner. We really appreciated the fact that there is an elevator in the building as we had stroller with us.
We would happily recommend the apartment and Helena as a host.
We stayed in the apartment for almost two months and we really enjoyed it.
Helena and Antonio are great hosts, extremely professional, great people, always ready to help.
Host that you can only wish for!!!!!!
We will rent the apartment again with pleasure!!!!!
My 4 month stay at Helena's flat in El Born was amazing. I loved it, and it will always remain a special place to return to while in Barcelona.
First, the location of the flat is unbeatable for a stay in Barcelona. El Born is full of restaurants, bars, cafes and its alway buzzing. Also, its centralized between the beach, Las Ramblas tourist area, Parc Ciutadella and more. Also, the flat is just steps away from the beautiful Santa Maria del Mar.
Second, it is comfortable, cute, and full of amenities. All of the windows come up via remote control, allowing the flat to become completely sunny and full of air.
Finally, it feels very safe for Barcelona due to Helena's new security system. Once we got the hang of the system, it is an easy way to make the flat completely protected.
Overall, my experience with Helena was a great one. She responded to all concerns or issues quickly and effectively, and had her brother and mom on hand in Barcelona to help us out.
For now, I will miss Helena's flat; however, I can't wait to stay in it next time I am in Barcelona!
This apartment is very well located in the Born. A very short walk to some popular tourist spots. Also some great restaurants and bakeries nearby. We had our two year old with us and we found this location to be very safe away from major roads and he could run along with relaxed supervision to many of the places we took him to play and eat.
Helena was very attentive to receiving us and our departure. She also checked in during our stay to make sure things were going well and took care of any issues we had. A great hostess!
The apartment was clean. The kitchen had everything we needed for any meals we wanted to prepare at home. The beds were comfortable.
If I were returning to Barcelona, I would stay here again.
We had a fantastic stay at Helena's flat.
Before we arrived, Helena was incredibly friendly and helpful. Sending recommendations and accommodating our request for an early checkin and late checkout.
The flat itself is brilliantly located - close to a metro station, and walking distance of the beach and old town. It's modern, clean and has everything you need, including decent wifi and cable tv.
Helena's brother met us at the flat and showed us around. It couldn't have been easier.
Highly recommend Helena as a host and this flat in particular. It was the perfect place from which to explore Barcelona. I'd definitely stay again next time I visit.
the flat is very central in the El Born district, just a minute away from the Santa Maria del Mar church and yet very quiet, sunny and well maintained. Helena was a very good host, very responsive to any questions we had via email and can very much recommend her flat.
About the Host, Helena
I am a Spanish architect who loves to travel! I love finding new cafes, reading the paper on a sunny Sunday and... the sea! The designer shop around the corner and a good movie on a weekend make me happy.
I have been travelling since I was very little and I like to feel like at home, I always thought hotels could be impersonal so travelling to homes is a better option! :)
I hope you enjoy my place!
