Bright, spacious apartament in the heart of Sopot - health-spa and tourist resort destination. It is located in building constructed in 1900. The apartment is newly renovated with nice modern bathroom with a large window. There are two bedrooms with Queen size bed each. The big living room with double size sofa, open kitchen and dining room creates space of 40m2. The living room is bright and has a lovely window view at the North Park and Hotel Grand. The kitchen is small, but fully equipped with fridge, oven, cooking plate and all essential accessories. Useful for breakfasts and simple family meals.
IMPORTANT: Our apartment has a great location. You will save the taxi-money and precious time if you will stay in the heart of the city.
The apartment is located 20 meters from the park, and 80 meters from the sea with golden sand beach, tennis courts opposite the street and 5 mins walking distance from the vibrant city center with the restaurants, cafes, cinema, clubs and other attractions (not mentioning the longest wooden pier in Europe)))
There is a cable tv in the apartment and a wifi internet connection opposite the street in a cafe with a beach view.
Because of it's great location the apartment is a perfect place for visitors planning easy time enjoying the beach, walks in the parks, enjoying beauty of the seaside city and also those who come to ThreeCities to enjoy the sport events, film or music festivals.
The apartment is very well connected: the main train station is 10 minutes walk, it takes 10 mins by city bus to get to Ergo Arena Sport and Event Centre, 30 minutes by public transport to Baltic Arena Sport Centre and 20 minutes to get by taxi to the airport.
Sopot is a charming and rather small scale city and it is easy not to use a car or public transport and enjoy the walks and fresh air.
The guests have access to all facilities that are in the apartment, we do not share any space.
Interaction with Guests
We do welcome the guests with the keys to the apartment and answer all the questions.
My family owns a small one-badroom flat next door, so there is a chance there will be a helpful person nearby (but with no shared space).
There is a lovely park opposite the street.
Except all obvious and easy Sopot-style activities like hanging out on the beach&restaurants I like to take a 20 mins walk to the swimming pool /sport centre. You take a park path that later turns info a forrest, also possible to walk by the beach on your way back, after a good swim or sauna session.
I do not really use the public transport in Sopot. Everything from a cafe, bank, pharmacy to a cinema, train station and shopping mall is within a walking distance.
Travelling around Tricities (Gdansk+Gdynia) is easy using city trains (SKM) that goes every 15mins in both directions from a train station that is 15 mins walk from our place.
We do have small parking space shared with the neighbours, it is possible to leave a car there, but there also in a guarded underground parking space in a next door building.
Getting to/from the airport is the easiest if you take a taxi.
It takes 20-30mins, up to 1hr during a rush time - its always good to ask when you order one. Mainly its quite fast.
We do care about smoking restriction. Please do not smoke in our apartment.
We can be easy about pets - it depends on the situation and time of the year. We are opened to discuss it.
Paulina is a very hospitable guest and carrying! Her decription of the Sopot flat was precise and true. The apartament is perfect! And it's really city centered located - perfect for sea walking or city center visiting! I can highly recommend Paulina!
Perfect location for us! We came for a wedding in Grand Hotel and realised the place is just across the street. We had a wonderful stay in the apartment - everything was as expected. Sopot was very nice and we definitively want to come again.
Location, location, location!!
This flat is perfectly located and there is FREE PARKING! The flat was clean, towels were provided, and it was quite spacious. We did not try to do any cooking here, so I cannot speak to that. It gets a bit toasty up on the top floor of the building- but you cannot find a better located spot.
Good contacts with the host before arriving. The apartment is big with two separate bedrooms and a large living room combined with cooking facilities. Despite being on the top floor, four flight of stairs (and no elevator), it was not as warm in the apartment as could have been expected given the 30 degrees and sun that we had more or less throughout our stay.
The location is great, just across the street from Sopot Grand Hotel within a minute to the beach and close to the Monte Cassino, the main promenade. However, this also meant quite a lot of noise from parties and concerts at the beach late at night and early in the morning and from the relatively busy street in front of the house. The fact that there was a parking spot provided for us in the yard was a definitive plus since it is difficult to come by in Sopot in the summer time.
We had a great stay at Paulina's flat. The location is even better than as described, as it is directly across the street from the Grand Hotel (and the bus stop and the beach)
Paulina was extremely friendly and the location was excellent! Only a few minutes walk from the strip downtown and the beach... Would highly recommend anyone to stay here!
We had mixed feeling about our stay in this apartment.
-Fantastic location (across from the beach/park and a 2 min walk to the main square)
-nice new bathroom
-The apartment got very hot if it got into the mid-20s. It is the top (4th) floor of an apartment building and has low ceilings and no A/C.
-The kitchen was not nice. There was a tiny stove and small fridge and a sink and that is it. No cabinets. The cutlery/pots/pans were old. It wasn't super clean either (my mother had to scrub the cutlery holder which smelled bad).
-It was not child friendly. There was one window at floor level that opened straight out.
-The mattress in the larger room was not comfortable.
-There was one set of keys. And you couldn't lock the door without the keys, not even from the inside (fire hazard??).
Hi, sure thing his post needs a comment:
1. As in our apartments description - our kitchen is before renovation. And that is actually why the cost of the best located place (literally best) is less than 50% of an average cost of a night in Sopot (the avrg is 600zl per night per person. our place this season is 350zl per 3 people per night)
2. The kitchen in fully equipped (it is our home, we do prepare family meals there;))
and also because it is our home off the season and it is not a hotel where everything is new - it has old, used stuff. like my Grannies pans and few cutlery. (Grrgh..) But there also is an option of not using the old stuff - cause there is ikea basic set as well.
3. We did invest money in a crib for Malgosia's stay, I had the idea that we are a little child friendly;)
4. Getting second set of keys is just a matter of asking for it - we have more than one.
True thing is that without an AC in high temperatures it might be hot.
Although I wish we have more hot days in summer in Sopot and also we will think about getting an AC.
