  • We had a very nice stay. It was our first airbnb experience and it couldn't have been better. Federico was such a good host, always available to help out and give recommendations. The place is perfect for a couple and it's even big enough if you travel with a small child as we did. Definitely Federico knows how to make you feel welcome, comfortable and at home. He has got the talent of spreading kindness and warmth that we will always remember.

  • All I wish is I had more time to stay! Federico and his wife are fantastic! They fulfilled my dream of living like a real New Yorker. I felt comfortable and safe at all times. The market and subway are close by so the location is perfect. The fireplace was also perfect for the cold temps we experienced in February. Again, I wish I didn't have to leave. I'll definitely be staying here again. My home away from home. Thank you tons Federico and Margo for everything!

  • Federico is a great host! We absolutely loved our stay at his cozy house!
The bed is super comfortable and the fireplace makes the room very warm and cozy.
We would love to stay at Federico's again when we will visit NYC next time!

  • The apartment is really cozy and quiet!
Everything was perfect, Federico and his wife are very friendly.
The neighborhood is nice and safe, which makes you feel confortable when walking from the subway to the apartment late of night.
Also you can find everything that you need near the two avenues (groceries, laundry, restaurants, pharmacy and etc).
And very important... the fireplace and the bathtube are AWSOME!!! Is so good to use them when you arrive late, tired and freezing at winter :)
If we ever return to New York and Federico still rent this apartment, we will surely stay there!

  • We've had a great time at Federico's! The place was exactly as described in the pictures, absolutely lovely! And it was a few minutes on subway (take the A Train, as Ella sang) from anywhere in Midtown or Downtown Manhattan. We had a great time there!

  • I loved this place! it was quiet and cozy exactly as the name described. My wife and I were in love the first day we arrived there are two grocery stores nearby and since this place has a full kitchen, making breakfast in bed for my wife made the experience unforgettable. We went for our honeymoon and we couldn't have asked for a better time! Thanks Federico!

  • This is such a perfect place to stay when visiting New York City! It's close to the subway which is so easy to navigate and we felt safe in this neighborhood the whole stay. Federico is a wealth of knowledge about New York and he and his wife are so lovely, welcoming and helpful! We would definitely stay again if we are so blessed to ever return to New York again!

  • We had a great stay at Federico's place. He and his wife are very nice. Federico gave us a warm welcome by showing us his house and the neighborhood. We felt very safe.

The subway is nearby. Only a few block away you can take the local subway number 1 (145th street). But we used to walk a few blocks further towards the express subway (A and D), also at 145th street. It takes you to times square in 15 minutes.

For tall people like me (1.9 m / 6 feet 2) the ceiling is a bit to low in the bathroom. I had to bent my head every time and that's not comfortable.

But then.. the fireplace is very comfortable! It's really nice to enjoy the fireplace when it's cold outside.

We would definitely recommend staying at Federico's place.

  • The accommodation provided by Federico was really great. The apartment is quiet and cozy with a nice garden. Everything was clean. The subway is not far and at the stop 145th it is possible to take metro express (A-D).
Federico is a great host, very helpful and kind.
I hope to come back in the future. Highly recommended.
    Bye bye

I was born in the Dominican Republic and went to school in Madrid Spain. I love living in diverse multiethnic New York and I enjoy the variety of foods, people and cultures. I especially enjoy my neighborhood because of the friendly nature of everyone on my block. One of the hidden treats that my neighborhood has to offer is the Hispanic Society of America Museum, which is on par with the Metropolitian in its collection of art from Spain. It has paintings by many Spanish masters as well scuplture from every age of Spain's history. It is just three blocks from my home I can see a Velasquez or Goya anytime I want. It is treasure of Spanish art. We believe in welcoming our guests, and enjoying the diverse people and cultures that these encounters bring. I find that learning about other places and cultures is interesting. All humans share a common decency, respect and love for one another. This coming together of people from all over the world is the essence of New York, unquestionably a very wonderful place right now, of which I am lucky to enjoy.
