Where you’ll be

New Orleans, Louisiana, United States

We are 2 miles from the French Quarter. Walking distance to public transit, 8 blocks to local shopping and eats on Magazine Street*** We are great location during Mardi Gras. You can catch the uptown Mardi Gras Parades, or wait for those Mardi Gras Indians to pass by the house on Mardi Gras day.

You can also wait on the porch to catch the Second Line parades.

You're minutes away from Commander's Palace, Magazine Street, old cemeteries and the rest of the Garden District, the best of all you can walk there if you want.

The house is in an urban environment, so you may hear sirens, other commotion, or the occasional brass band playing in a second line down the street. We are also a mini-urban farm. We have chickens, ducks and 2 dogs. To be very honest, we are also in a transition area where it seems more "hood" so you will be investing into the comeback of this neighborhood if you book with us. I feel 100% safe here and believe that you will feel the same.

We can provide you with some earplugs if needed, or a fan to drown out the sounds with ambient noise.

We have a kid and a dog. I like to be the urban farmer type but find it hard to manage that with the rest of life.

I love to be out in nature. Crabbing is one thing that we think everyone will enjoy here in New Orleans if you can get out there.

I moved here to love on people and figure out ways to impact hurting communities.

As a traveler I am probably the worst tourist since I really enjoy being in the woods to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. When I do travel to places I like to try to understand what it is like for locals, and I like to find awesome restaurants.

As my guest you will probably be first greeted by barks from my dogs that sound scary but are friendly and playful. I have two spaces listed on Airbnb, and I try to set it up where you can manage everything on your own, even checking in.
