The space
Our cottage has 2 bedrooms plus a loft with 3 single beds and 2 full bathrooms. The cottage offers all the modern amenities nestled in the middle of a 900 acre State Natural Area. There is easy access to hiking, fishing, trail running, bird watching, campfire, cross country skiing, and much more! The Franklin Creek Grist Mill is Illinois' last fully waterpowered traditional working water-powered grain mill operation. One mile north of the Park, you can find the 4000 acre Nachusa Grasslands which is home to 120 Bison roaming the land! Dixon is just 9 miles away if you need the hustle and bustle of a city with great restaurants, shops, and activities. Come, relax, and have a good time!

Parking is ample and free. You will have access to the house and the acre of land surrounding it, all within the State Natural Area.

There is even an external 30amp/120volt outlet and fresh water hookup for trailers and RVs.

This Airbnb is hosted by FCCA. We are a non-profit organization, Franklin Creek Conservation Association, all proceeds go to the mission of the organization to care for the natural areas of Franklin Creek for current and future generations.
