Great location, clean linen and rooms in reasonable condition. Kitchen was well equipped. However, after a wardrobe fell on to our young daughter I really hope that action is taken immediately to secure the wardrobes to the walls as the floors are not even so it is so easy for an serious accident to occur. One of our party was also stuck in a bedroom with a very wobbly door handle, fortunately this was an adult and after some perseverance she was able to free the lock.
14 of us were staying and on arrival we were told that one of the showers was broken but hopefully it would be fixed that day. It was not repaired during our stay.
The reservation was canceled 70 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The apartment is big and well located near London Bridge (5 minutes away). The location makes it really ideal for groups coming to London for a weekend.
I had a group of 14 and was responsible for picking the place, so I was quite worried when I read of some complaints a few days before we were due to arrive. I'm happy to say that these issues were not true at all, the apartment was very warm and cosy, and the facilities were great. I was concerned about the lack of a living room but the apartment is so big there was ample space for us all to eat and convene in the evening. There were cleaners to ensure the place was in great condition upon our arrival and the hosts we met were very friendly and helpful, and showed us how to use everything.
Giovanni was a nice host. The appartment was nice and well located near tube, Market Borough and London Bride.
We had a nice Christmas Holiday.
We had a very very bad experience in this flat. 1. There are mice in the flat!!!!!!!!! Firstly we saw one run into the kitchen, then 3 am at night, I heard my plastic bags are making noise and I saw a gray mouse running around in my room above my bed. This is absolutely ridiculous. After I told Giovanni about the mice, he was very calmed and said "yes, I set a few traps in the room but apparently they didn't work". He is obviously aware of this problems but still putting this troubled flat on airbnb. We can't believe it. 2. The keys are very very hard to use, my friend was waiting 2 hours outside the door just because her key is not working. 3. The walls are pealing and very old. 4. The heating upstairs are not working. 5. This flat is not run by a friendly host but a company. If you are looking for a warm place to stay and a friendly host to talk to during your stay in London, please please run was quickly as possible of this flat. The only good thing is the location is good.
First of all thanks for staying at my house. I have to confirm to you that indeed I have set up a company to manage all my properties, this is my job now. I have put this on my profile and of course it Is pretty clear that one person alone cannot manage more than 30 listing. I am not sure how can I put this more clearly in the website but I will definitely write an email to Airbnb and ask them. Regarding the mice, I have to confirm that during your stay we had to face this inconvenient. London is fairly famous for this. I am not trying to find excuse. I just want to clarify that I would never advertise a property infested with mice but it seems so from your review. I definitely recall a first call from you, after 2 hours I set traps all over the house. On the second day you called me again about this and this is when is said “yes, I set a few traps in the rooms but apparently they didn't work” Meaning that a proper dis-infestation had to be carried out. In my experience I find out that is better to let the guest go and do it afterwards and this is what I have done as soon as you left. Maybe you would have preferred to have the dis-infestation during your wedding days but I was thinking otherwise. My bad. Next time I will offer the option to my guest. Thanks again for staying. Giovanni
Great place and Giovanni is a nice guy who was really helpful.
The place is located close to the Borough St and close to London Bridge as well, big spacious and all you needed was there.
Decorated and furnished a bit like a hotel though (not necessarily a bad thing). We had a very nice stay.
Giovanni was a courteous host, the rooms were all made up, towels etc. were in place. We enjoyed the neighborhood of Southwark a lot, the pubs and restaurants around Borough market are great.
I would definitely stay there again!
We had an amazing stay in the flat in Borough. The location was great, the appartment clean and beds comfortable. We mainly chose the flat because of its location. Our stay went very smooth from handing over keys, to cleaning and the general organisation. We would definitely recommend it. Excellent value for money!
And in english ( with (website hidden) Übersetzer ):
We were 15 people in Dortmund and have booked this house for the Champions League final on May 25, 2013. This was a wonderful experience (even if we did not win the pot). The house was clean, quiet, centrally located, well furnished and ideal for our group ... We were warmly welcomed and adopted as nice again. (Although we were a chaotic heap) If it again comes to a group trip to London, I would us anytime quartered here :-)))))) Thanks and regards, Katja
