West Albury is a quiet neighbourhood with walking paths, up hill, down hill, along the river, and into town. Parklands Albury-Wodonga have maintained tracks to lookouts, surrounding towns, and bicycle paths along rail trails to nearby regions.
Bus services the end of the street, or just walk 20 minutes to the main entertainment areas. Taxi services the neighbourhood also.

Joy was a great communicator and left me instructions regarding her place even though she wasnt there. Her place is in a quiet leafy setting and is very homely.
Joy was a real sweetie and a great personality. She is a really interesting person with a great local knowledge. It was a pleasure spending time with her. There are beautiful river walks on her doorstep, which I really enjoyed.
Joy is an incredibly generous host with a warm, welcoming home. I stayed one night and had some tasty homecooked food (including some incredible banana cake!) along with insights into the local area. Joy also drove us out to see the reservoir and other sights before I moved on. She's a wonderful, passionate lady who loves hosting and I'd recommend her to anyone wanting some home comforts on their travels.
Joy was a wonderful helpful host: she went out of her way to make our stay really enjoyable. As we arrived at Albury early in the morning we are really grateful that she let us check in early and the warm electric blanket at this time of the year was highly appreciated. She has a lovely comfy home and we enjoyed waking up to the sound of the birds as the guest room overlooks a beautiful green park full of birds. The house itself is about 10-15 min walk from the centre (Dean Street) at a nice quiet location and has some lovely walking paths nearby. We had a great stay and can highly recommend Joy as a host and her home as a pleasant place to stay.
Thank you for your kind review. You were so quiet and I wished I had asked whether you were travelling by train!! I have been catching that train onto Melbourne and often awake at 4am. It was a shame I was so preoccupied with funeral matters. So happy to share my green retreat with you, though. Cheers. J.
While we didn't meet Joy , it was a joy to stay in her home. It was clean and comfortable. Thanks Joy.
Wow! Joy could not have been more welcoming. We were made to feel like we were part of her family. Our room was very comfortable and we were able to come and go with ease. Joy knew alot about the area and had suggestions for some lovely walks close by. Looking forward to staying there again when next down that way.
I had a great time at Joy's. I had the house to myself and enjoyed the very calm feel of her home and the town of Albury. Great place for a weekend getaway in the country!

Hi there! I enjoy living by the Murray River here in Albury. A couple of hours away are the alps of Victoria and NSW, the rooftop of Australia. I have spent much time bushwalking in the Victorian alps and paddling in the rivers of the North East so can provide you with plenty of ideas if you want adventure!
Airbnb is such a great way to provide hospitality with options to the usual motel rooms. My home is comfortable and relaxed overlooking a park and with lots of walking paths to stroll along. Nearby wetlands offer opportunity to identify the local birdlife and enjoy natural beauty.
I also wish to share my Melbourne hospitality in St. Kilda with convenience plus, (a supermarket at your door!) Make yourself at home while you enjoy the shows, Arts and sports that abound in Melbourne.
I can't live without good friends, good food, and time on the Murray River. When travelling, I enjoy the journey as much as the destinations.
When you come to my home, my wish for you is to relax and have a good night's sleep in quiet surrounds.
