I can provide additional suggestions too, let me know.

The cottage is available for monthly sublet from September 10 to June 7.
You must note any damage on check-in and message me on airbnb. Check-in otherwise acknowledges the cottage has been received in good condition, with the stated inventory items, and that additional charges may be incurred if property is damaged or inventory items need to be replaced. This consideration will be assessed at time of check-out.
Cottage and grounds policies, including pool, arcade, noise curfew, and fire pit rules will be clearly posted in all cottages and in the communal areas.
Smoking is not permitted in the cottage. If smoke or cigarette odor is found upon checkout, the security deposit will be applied to the extra cleaning service.
Pets are permitted but you must first notify me at the time of booking. Pets must be house trained and be curbed and leashed on outdoor premises for the safety of other guests, especially those with children. If pet-related stains and litter are found on the premises, the security deposit will be applied for the extra cleaning.
This was my first AirBnB rental. It was an easy process. Mike usually has a 3 day minimum. There were two days free that I noticed on his calendar that happened to be the days I needed a place! The trip Itinerary had all the information in it and I did not need to contact him. The place was clean, the mattresses were fairly comfortable (particularly the futon mattress) the place was cute and had the basic necessities. My boys loved the loft bed area.
I would recommend this place for anyone like myself who is a relaxed low maintenance traveler.
Had a great stay with the family. It is definitely a small spot, but we didn't spend a whole lot of time inside anyways. Sliding doors on the shower could use an overhaul, and a new barbecue is definitely needed (we used our neighbors, they were excellent as well). Overall, I'd say we'll be back. Mike was great, definitely recommended.
Mike answered most of my questions and the place was pretty much as it looked on the website. I would say it was simpler than I expected especially with the bathroom, the side doors were falling apart and the grill was hideous.
Mike was welcoming and had suggestions for food as well as directions for the public beach. He answered all our questions and responded well to our requests. We arrived to find the place as advertised. The pool was not in working order, but it didn't bother us.
The place was cozy and clean minus a couple of small issues. A dusty / sticky floor in spots, probably from the tree sap from surrounding pines, and the toilet needed a little help. The complimentary firewood didn't arrive until our 2nd day, which was fine. The shack was stocked with all the clean towels / cooking ware we needed for our 3 night stay.
The shack was nestled in a small thicket of pines and we felt secluded despite the being surrounded by suburb. Perhaps most importantly we were left to our own devices.
Overall a positive experience, would recommend.
Le Lobster Shack is what it says it is, a "small cottage for the budget-concious traveler." We were looking for an affordable place to stay with our 8 month old baby, and this certainly fit the bill. We never met Mike, but booking was very easy and instructions for check-in were very clear. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the shack and the grounds in general. We arrived to find a bag with garbage out front and cigarette butts covering the fire pit. The shack itself smelled of cigarette smoke and could have used a more thorough cleaning between guests. Maybe this is just something we're hyper-aware of now that we have a child, but the floor was dirty and there were quite a few spider webs that a simple cleaning should have caught. The toilet was broken and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. While the shack does have its charms—fire pit, grill, cute decor, pool on the premises—those could have used a little TLC as well. As I mentioned before, the fire pit was covered with cigarette butts. The pool was a nice relief at the end of a hot day, but it clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while. In fact, another guest approached us as we were packing to leave and mentioned the same exact problems...broken toilet, dirty cabin, etc. I've no doubt this is an easy fix, but in general, I think Le Lobster Shack is best suited to a more care-free traveler.
Hi, Jeff, thank you for leaving feedback. We have a strict no-smoking policy in the cottages, and that may be the reason people were smoking outside. But things like cigarette butts and cobwebs and not running the pool filter long enough to clear out the pine pollen should have been tended to. In general we have had great reviews on the cleanliness of our cottages, and so I have brought your review to the attention of the housekeeping staff so that we will adhere to our cleaning checklist process more consistently.
I'm really sorry I wasn't there to personally greet you. I was really sick and probably had the flu and was recovering. However, I set up the cottages so that should you need anything, towels, paper products, soap, etc., they are in the arcade area for self-service. Also the housekeeper is there from 11 am to 3 pm for anything else. Also the Itinerary has all the information you need for self-checkin.

Travel and arts buff, since 2005 I have been offering beautiful rustic cottages for a comfortable stay with a coastal Maine theme. Only seen when needed, but with attention to detail and focus on guest satisfaction. I enjoy the outdoors and so offer campground-type amenities to guests.
