The Space

Charming country living in a private enclave near water! Nestled on two woodsy acres, our four-bedroom, three bath home is gracious and spacious, and is in a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing location.

Water all around! Only 200 yards to a conservation area with a mile of waterfront, same distance to deeded access to a cove that leads to Pleasant Bay. Bring your canoe or kayak! Walk 0.4 miles to clear, sandy-bottom Crystal Lake. Bike or drive three miles (eight minutes) to legendary Nauset Beach, ranked among the best on the East Coast.

We are well secluded on a private, dead-end road within a private neighborhood. One house away from waterview, and two houses from waterfront.

Bright, spacious kitchen is well equipped for culinary artistry. Many pots, pans and utensils. New five-burner electric stove with convection oven. Large dishwasher, heavy duty washing machine and dryer, microwave, mixer. Weber grill on the deck.

Dining room that seats eight to ten, and a dining nook in the kitchen that seats four.

The huge elevated mahogany deck is an outdoor living area with a Weber gas grill, dining table with umbrella, and an outdoor lounge. Lovely view onto wild nature, birds and the occasional turkey, deer, fox, and rabbit.

The large living room has three sofas, a flat-screen TV, and a magnificent fireplace.

Master bedroom with en-suite full bath and dressing room, queen bed and TV.
Another large bedroom with a full (double) bed and two singles, sliding doors to deck, TV, on the first floor. Two smaller bedrooms, one with two single beds, another with a full (double) brass bed.

Bonus: recreation barn! Our spacious rustic barn has a new tournament-quality ping pong table, simple lounge furniture, and lights. Enjoy yourselves at night without disturbing the sleep of others.

Three TVs, high-speed (75 MB) WiFi, hot outdoor shower, lots of books, cd/radio players, I-pod player.

A/C in the three bedrooms on the second floor, the living room and kitchen. The first floor bedroom doesn't have A/C as yet, but it might. We also offer lots of fans.

Many nice details in this custom-built home. Warm oak floors, cathedral ceiling front entry with skylight, hand-made front door fit for a castle, glowing wood paneling, stained glass, tiles, beams, a brick wall, bay windows, large fireplace, lanterns.

Great flow of space. Tastefully decorated. Immaculate.

Off the beaten path and away from the crowds. Birds sing all day. Extremely relaxing feeling surrounded by nature and very near ocean, bay and lakes. The weathered barn completes the atmosphere of rural tranquility on a country lane.

Orleans town center has all conveniences including excellent supermarkets, a fruit market, clothing boutiques, live music, art galleries, fish and wine stores, and some of the best restaurants on Cape Cod.

A wonderful place for families and groups of friends who want to escape the crowds and be close to beaches, bays, lakes, woods -- pure nature -- and the charm of a New England town settled by Pilgrims in 1693. A place to create sweet memories.

Walk to:

-- Crystal Lake (0.4 mi), clear as the name implies, sandy bottom, is at the beginning of our private road. An easy walk or bike ride, which is convenient as it has a small very small parking lot, which keeps the crowds away from the best lake in Orleans :).

-- Kent's Point Conservation Area (200 yards), a 28-acre peninsula with a mile of waterfront, trails with great views, and a secret little beach (foot access only) at mid to high tide. From the tip of the Point you can see clear across Pleasant Bay to Nauset Beach

-- Deeded access to a cove (200 yards) leading to The River, a salt water inlet of Pleasant Bay, which opens to the great blue sea. Bring a canoe or kayak, or rent one locally and have it delivered to the house, and explore coves and bay.

-- Private Namequoit Sailing Association (200 yards) offers week-long sailing lessons for children 8+ years. Lovely water view from their hilltop

-- Behind our house are acres of woods and conservation land.

-- Spectacular Nauset Beach (3 miles, no traffic lights), popular with surfers, is the Cape's best ocean beach. Walk a bit and you'll have 10 miles of virgin beach to yourself. It's within Cape Cod National Seashore, a sensational national park extending along the entire Outer Cape Atlantic beach and more, from Orleans to Provincetown.

-- Skaket Beach (3 mi.), on the warmer waters of Cape Cod Bay, faces West, great sunsets, walk for miles on tidal flats at low tide, sandy beach, great for children.

-- Pilgrim Lake (1 mile, sandy beach, great for kids, bigger parking lot)

-- Nickerson State Park (four miles), 1,900 acres with big, gorgeous, pristine lakes with sandy beaches, and trails through the woods.

-- The Cape Cod Rail Trail, 1.8 miles away, is a 25-mile bike trail that passes through the center of Orleans. It takes you to the lakes of to Nickerson State Park in Brewster, and the gorgeous beaches and lakes of Wellfleet -- without any parking hassles (Wellfleet doesn’t allow non-residents to park at most beaches and lakes except after 5 p.m.)! Rent bikes next to the Trail, or rent them for the week and have them delivered to the house.

-- Orleans town center, 1.7 miles

-- Wellfleet, 14 miles, Provincetown, 28 miles, with lots of spectacular beauty along the way.
