This property is located in front of the Vatican Museum and it is a perfect location to start and discover the city (the Metro A Cipro is very close by).
This apartment can sleep up to 4 people. It offers a double bed upstairs and a pull out bed for two people downstairs. If you feel like you can cook meals because it is equipped with a kitchenette and a microwave oven.
One of the things that our guests enjoy the most are the terraces. You have two at your disposal, one back yard and one in the front. Both are private and allow you to spend fresh evenings outside. Both are equipped with a table for four so you can even decide to dine outdoors, watch the stars and enjoy the lights of the city.
Among its amenities the apartment offers a flat TV screen, DVD player, air condition and Wifi.
The neighborhood is quiet and green and offers a lot of traditional roman "trattorias" and "enotecas" where you can enjoy good quality food and Italian wines. We will find in the apartment a list of restaurants of the area for all pockets.
The Vatican Museum are at very close distance. You can walk there in five minutes.
Ottima esperienza.
We had a wonderful stay in Gianluca's appartment which is really confortable, beautiful and peaceful. The terrace is so cool.
Appart bien situé, propriétaire très sympa.
Absolutely beautiful apartment, great location, near a metro stop too. Gianluca was a wonderful host, he waited at the apartment for us to arrive (depsite us being late!), and even organised for the keys to be picked up early on our last day for when we had to leave for a train early. He was fantastic about contacting us, texting before we got there, when we arrived, and even when we were there to say if we wanted to change our checkout time at any point that was fine. The whole apartment has been recently renovated and is really pretty, and there is a great roof terrace, with a table, 4 chairs and 2 sun loungers. If we ever go back to Rome we would stay here again...
The flat is nicely located just behind the Vatican Gardens. A very short way by foot to the main Attractions of Rome (15-20 Minutes to the Forum etc.) but also opens up a less touristy part of Rome in the other direction, which we really appreciated. All was clean, kitchen equipped with all, inlcuding salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegear. There is also a wifi internet connection. Handing over and retruning the keys was very easy and flexible. I would really recommend this place.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and the apartment was as expected. Only negatives are consistent with the other reviewers that the shower is so small the curtain touches you the whole time and the internet isn't great. For the price though, it was a good deal.
Pros: Close proximity to the Metro, Vactican Museum and Vatican (about 10-15 minutes).
Clean towels/linen. As advertised in the pictures.
Cons: 1. Internet would not work! I contacted the host regarding the issue and he failed to resolve it. He stated that it worked previous to my arrival. Whether the internet worked prior to my arrival is irrelevant! It doesn't matter if it worked 1 day prior, 1 week prior, or with the last tenent. The fact is that it is broken now. Telling me that there's an internet cafe in the area is unacceptable! The guy who let me in couldn't connect prior to him leaving. I had asked for a refund for the remaining time I had left after that night and he refused. If someone is not happy with his apartment, then something should be worked out.
2. The bed was stiff and all of the bathroom is very small.
3. There are two ways to get to the apartment: One, is to walk up the hill from the Vatican. Two, you can take the stairway from hell to get there.
4. Communication with the host was not the greatest. I told him when I would be there and there was no one there to let us in. I called, texted, and left messages with AIRBNB with no reply. It took about an hour before someone showed.
Our stay at Gianluca's was very nice.
Gianluca and Hadi were extremely helpful when I missed my flight due to train delays and they waited for me all day to come and check in.
They then helped me with ongoing connections as I was late going to a friend's wedding.
The flat is simple, cute and comfy with everything you need for a short stay in Rome. The shower is a little small and water would easily spill around but overall the flat was just fine for what we needed.
We enjoyed the terrace very much and happily recommend to stay there.
