  • Really beautiful and spacious apartment in one of the nicer areas in Berlin. Really close to the U-bahn, S-bahn and tram—so it's very easy to get wherever you want to go in the city. Great and well-equipped kitchen if you want to cook your own meals—there's also some nice grocery stores nearby. Decent sleeping situation.

  • We spent a week in Bourbon Vanilla in May. The flat is large, bright and very comfortable. The kitchen is well laid out and very well equipped. The bedroom and living room are big and airy. The flat is in the back house so street noises are not a problem.

The flat's location is quiet and convenient to U and S bahn and near Mauer Park and there are several shops nearby, including supermarket, pharmacy, wine shop and cafes.

It was very easy to communicate with our host, Eric. Any queries we had were answered pleasantly and without delay.

We would hope to stay in Bourbon Vanilla the next time we visit Berlin

  • We had a lovely stay here. The apartment is very spacious and warm. In the bedroom there are lots of extra blankets and pillows, and in the bathroom there were even detergents for the washing machine. The refrigerator is HUGE, and the kitchen has tons of cookware in it. If you book this place I recommend asking for Rocio's number and email address because you only get Eric's when you book, and Rocio may be the one who lets you into the apartment.

  • We had a lovely stay at Bourbon Vanilla. The flat is as shown in the pictures: neat, clean and cosy. It's very spacious for a two-room flat. The kitchen is fully equipped even though I never quite understood how the space-age toaster works... We were traveling in the beginning of December and the flat was wonderfully warm. With the fireplace on, we even had to turn the room temperature a bit down.
All and all, everything worked fine and even though we never met Eric in person, we called couple of times and he was very polite and helpful.
We can truly recommend staying in this flat, its very comfortable and the location excellent, the U- and S-bahn stations are really close and all the possible services from grocery store to a small mall are near-by. Do note that the flat is on the 4th floor and there is no elevator.

  • We are a couple with a toddler aged 2, and a 6 months baby too, and our staying in Berlin was very comfy and enjoyable when we stayed in Bourbon Vanilla. The apartment is in a very well connected area, just a couple of minutes from the metro station in a main street with shops and food stores and take-away stands around (and only 4 stops from Alexanderplatz). There was even a supermarket (7h00 to 23h30) and a chemistry nearby, as well as a small park a few meters from the flat -which can be really useful when traveling with kids. The neighborhood is quiet, with a lot of small, trendy cafes and stores. The apartment was warm since there is regulable heating and the rooms are very wide and well provided with everything you may need like maps or guides of Berlin. Both Rocío and Eric were very helpful and attentive. I would strongly recommend it and would come back for sure. Great choice!

I'm down to earth, like to meet new people, be with friends, travel, cook, eat, drink, snowboard---not necessarily in that order. When I have the time, I like to work with plastic, making art or objects. I am currently building a startup for specialty printing (feel free to ask ;) I came to Berlin in 2006, absolutely loved the city, and decided to stay. Originally I wanted to open a hostel here, but now I host in apartments instead. Most of the flats I have listed here are from other owners, I take care of them in their absence. Working with multiple apartments can be quite hard work, but my favorite part is meeting with my guests, it is very rewarding. I have an agency, so you may get a response from Szandra, who helps me answer queries faster. ;) I know my way around Berlin pretty well, and can give good tips on where to go when you are in the city. I do my best to make sure the flats are accommodating and comfortable, as I am a traveler myself. Our Philosophy: People are important! We will do our best to satisfy your needs. Our apartments are kept very clean, and we respond to all feedback. Professionally cleaned sheets and towels are included, so is a hair dryer and iron. You will also find little comforts in our apartments, such as tea, books, spices... Calendars are up to date, and we are on time. We work hard so you can enjoy your vacation!
