  • Very convenient place for us to stay while visiting San Leandro. Comfortable efficiency apartment in a nice neighborhood for us and our daughter. Cheryl was very friendly and responsive. Made a silly mistake and got our cell phone in water. Found a local shop about two miles away that was EXCELLENT,It is called Cellular City. The owner was friendly, honest, fast, efficient and inexpensive. He rescued it from the dead.

  • This is my first experience with Airbnb and it could not have been better! Cheryl was cheerful and accommodating, the kind of person I wish I'd had time to get to know. Her attention to detail is unrivaled. The space was exquisite, no detail overlooked. The photographs of the room are accurate, however, they do not begin to describe the "feel" of the place. The name of the room, "Serenity", is absolutely accurate. Cheryl was having some work done on her garden while I was there. As it was, it was quiet, beautiful, attractive to birds and squirrels -- a true refuge. I cannot wait to see the results on my next trip. This will be my first choice whenever I need a place to stay on the East Bay. Thank you, Cheryl, for sharing your space. It is a treasure.

    Response from Cheryl:

Dear Molly, I am truly touched by your warm hearted review. I believe that the "feelings" of the creator are found in the creation. It is so rewarding when someone else has that insight. Thank you for sharing in my space and for sharing, as you have, in your review. Blessings to you in your journeys, and may you find your way back to the East Bay.

  • Cheryl was a generous host. She allowed us to check in late so we could get out and enjoy the sunny day. She supplied us with a picnic kit and camp blanket to keep us cozy on a cool night at the Amphitheatre. What a nice room! Soft, comfortable pillows and blankets, a stocked kitchenette and tasty breakfast options. There are electrical outlets everywhere for charging our devices, although the wi-fi was spotty. Nice lighting and a cute electric fireplace were excellent touches. Overall one of our best AirBnB experiences!

    Response from Cheryl:

Jeremy, Thanks for the great review. So happy that all worked out so well for you. However, this is the 1st time I've heard that the Wi-Fi had problems. I'd appreciate it if you'd call and leave a voice message with more specifics so that I can check into it. Many thanks!

  • My son and I spent three very enjoyable and comfortable days at Cheryl's charming home. Everything we needed was there, and everything was of very high quality and immaculately clean. The spacious unit has a private entrance, overlooks a large, private patio area, and has a nice kitchenette stocked with everything needed for breakfast. Cheryl seems to have thought of everything, and is easily reached if needed. My son and I had a car, which meant it was easy to reach numerous restaurants, public library, train station, etc., which are about a mile away. Cheryl was very welcoming, helpful and friendly, but never got in our way. The location is in a pleasant and safe neighborhood, and very quiet. Many thanks to Cheryl, for a very enjoyable stay -- we appreciate all you did to make it so comfortable and memorable, and hope to return!

  • Our stay at Cheryl's studio was very accommodating. The studio was very clean and well stocked with items for breakfast and all the necessary utensils/items needed. Cheryl was understanding that our drive across PCH from Long Beach took longer than we expected, as we arrived late. In addition, she was very helpful in providing information of the Bay Area, and was helpful in getting us to the BART station, which was much better than trying to drive a car to San Francisco. One of the highlights for me was that the entrance is private and quiet- I never even knew she was there. The back garden patio is so tranquil; I have never stayed anywhere as peaceful as Cheryl's on my trips to California. If we are ever in the area again, I would definitely stay at Cheryl's again, if she would have us; it's a much better atmosphere than staying at any hotel. Thanks Cheryl, for everything!

    Response from Cheryl:

Thank you, Anna & Jim, for such a glowing review.
Next time you'll have to stay long enough for that glass of California wine and a chat on my patio. I'm in the process of developing it further, so that it will have both a water feature and a sauna. So please, come on back whenever you have the chance.
    Happy Travels!

  • Cheryl was very accomodating and welcomed us at very short notice. We have been travelling for almost two months and the studio was a bliss. It's very quiet and private and felt like home. We will definitely stay again.
