Firstly we award the apartment the highest rating possible i.e 5 star or 7 star if that is the highest possible to the apartment.
The description matches perfectly. The apartment has easy accessibility, trams terminates in front of the house and with cab you just tell the driver you are going to Moulay Yousuf Hospital in Akkari which is well known and is directly opposite the apartment; you can never get lost even if you ask anybody. Its about 5 minutes walk to the sea side, the bed is comfortable, kitchen well equipped and other amenities were all okay and working fine local market and shopping centres were at a walking distance. To cap it all Naima and her family are very hospitable and cares a lot; ready to assist any time. Most importantly there is an aura of peace in the apartment and the area is peaceful. If we are opportune to come back to Morocco for whatever;we will definitely like to stay in the apartment. We will always recommend the apartment to any of our friends coming to Morocco.
Great experience. The flat was really quiet and the beds were comfy. It was big, airy and had lots of natural light. Naima and her husband gave us a warm welcome and were always there if we needed anything. The only downside was that the WiFi didn't work very well. The tram stop is a 1 minute walk away and takes you into the centre in no time. If you get a taxi to arrive at the flat, ask the driver to drop you outside the hospital and it is right opposite next to a bank. If you're still lost, the only bank on the street is that one so we asked someone and they pointed us in the right direction.
I loved this apartment, and I love Naima and her family. I stayed for nearly three months, and it couldn't have been better: the apartment is clean and simple, everything works great (fridge, microwave, stovetop, water heater), and Naima made sure we had warm blankets (it was winter) and anything else we needed. She and Jose were also very understanding and accomodating of changes in our schedules.
You can't tell from the pictures, but the apartment gets lovely sunlight in the early afternoons, and the view from the roof terrace of the Atlantic is beautiful. It's great value for money compared to other apartments available in Rabat.
The apartment is very conveniently located directly across from the tram station, which gives you easy access to most of the city, including downtown, the train station, the old city, and historical sites like Tour Hassan. The neighborhood, Akkari, is a typical middle-class neighborhood; just around the corner from the apartment is a lively market street where you can buy all sorts of fresh food, and major supermarkets are easily accessible via tram. There are small kiosks and a pharmacy just across the street, too.
The neighborhood felt safe and was quiet enough at night that we could hear the ocean.
Speaking of the ocean, the apartment is about a five-minute walk from the coast, which is rocky (not a beach) but has gorgeous views, especially around sunset. A fun place to walk or jog.
We tasted Naima's cooking on several occasions and she really is an expert - she and her husband will introduce you to the staples of Moroccan life - food, conversation, and hospitality. Pack a smile and you'll be fast friends.
