The Space

Located at Villas El Parque in the heart of Manuel Antonio, this one bedroom self catering condo is ideal for two guests.

Wake up in the morning and have your coffee overlooking the Pacific and enjoy the sights and sounds of the jungle. Centrally located close to The National Park and the beaches. You will often see Squirrel, Capuchin and Howler monkeys, a wide array of tropical birds and if you're lucky a sloth or two.

The condo is arranged with a full kitchen opening onto the dining area, the bedroom has a Queen sized bed and the balcony has a million dollar view of the Pacific and Manuel Antonio National Park.

Villas El Parque is a short walk from a great selection of restaurants, bars and convenience stores and since you're on holiday they will deliver to you. If the mood takes you.

There are excellent bus and taxis services which will take you in one direction to the National Park and beaches and in the other to Quepos and the Marina Val Pez, should you fancy a day on the water fishing some of the most exciting waters in the region, if not the world.

Guest Access

Our guests have full use of the apartment along with access to the communal laundry (there is a small fee to the condominium for this) and of course full use of the pool and BBQ area.

Interaction with Guests

We like to meet our guests when they check in and out and are always on hand should you want any help or advice.

The Neighborhood

We're in the heart of Manuel Antonio, top of the hill almost ;-). You can walk to the best restaurants and an easy bus ride to the beach, National Park or Quepos.

Getting around

We have a local bus shuttle that runs from Quepos to manuel Antonio beach, it costs about 60 cents and runs every 20 minutes. There are also lots of regulated taxi's and car hire. Car hire is only necessary if you want to explore further afar.

Other Things to Note

Our minimum booking term may be longer than three days between December 26th and January 4th. However it is still worth enquiring, we will try and fit you in if possible.

  • Tariq's apartment was wonderful, and just as described. It is conveniently located and near many good restaurants. You can walk to the beach or take the easily accessible public transportation. I spent many hours on the hammock enjoying the view of the ocean. Although Tariq was not in town during my visit, he left a friend in charge to help with logistics of checking in and out, who also took the time to show me around town and point out some good swimming spots. Would definitely return to Tariq's if I ever travel in this region again!

  • The title says it all... Ocean and monkeys is what you'll see from this room. At first I was skeptical and thought what are the chances I'll get to see monkeys from my room. The first morning I saw a troop of Titi monkeys playing on the roof of spa uno right across from our balcony. Then the second morning and every morning there after I'd just sit and wait for the trees to rustle around and there they were, spider monkeys swinging through the trees. I regretted not taking a better camera, just my iPad. I stayed in Manuel Antonio about 4 years ago and the only monkeys I saw were the capuchin monkeys in the national park and was disappointed that I didn't get to see Titis. This time I got my fix. As you can tell this was the highlight of my trip. Down the road to el parador (the road to the left) lives a three toed sloth I got to see twice!
The pool was under construction which really didn't bother me cause I always end up at si como no for spa and pool.
As far as Tariq, even though he was out of town during my stay he was very attentive to all my questions and concerns. He had recommendations for everything I requested. He made sure his neighbor took care of any issues we may have had which were not many. I needed extra bath towels
but that's just me. He was kind enough to leave us the morning essentials coffee, milk, sugar, and juice.
Right across the street check out cafe Milagro, it has amazing coffee and breakfast don't miss it.
Cleanliness was good, it's not Five star but it's definitely neat and clean. Very spacious for two people, but could sleep three.
Overall I would definitely stay there again in the future. You cannot beat the price for a view like that. So glad I did my research. Thank you Tariq!

  • Tariq was a most accommodating host. From our initial email exchange until check out he was very helpful and willing. The apartment itself has everything you need for your stay. It is clean, simple and boosts arguable one of the most incredible views of the ocean the second you step in the door. He has secured a private wifi router so there is fast reliable internet should need be. The ac works although we never used it as the apartment is so open to the breeze. The apartment is located between the town of Quepos and the Manuel Antonio park. Steps away from the apartment you will find a bus that runs to and from the park. Very convenient. If you plan on coming to CR a stop down in the paradise that is the Manuel Antonio area is a must and I would highly recommend staying with Tariq.

  • This is an incredible location. Extremely close to the bank, grocery store, several wonderful coffee houses, and several beaches, including those in the Manuel Antonio National Park.
We enjoyed the ability to wander around on foot or hop on the easily accessible and affordable bus to and from Quepos and Manuel Antonio. There were also many opportunities for taxis.
Tariq was a great host! Although we did not get to speak much in person, we communicated regularly through email. Tariq set up a shuttle bus for us to and from the airport (thank you, again, Herminio!) that was safe and reliable. Tariq also recommended an excellent zipline tour (El Sanctuario).
The condo was exactly as listed. We felt safe, comfortable, and were so happy to have the opportunity to cook our own food. The view was stunning! A perfect way to see the beaches in Manuel Antonio every morning and afternoon. We saw many monkeys, birds, and other wildlife.
Overall, I absolutely recommend that you stay here if you are visiting the area!
A couple of things to note:
-There are a lot of steep stairs - just in case that is relevant to you for some reason
-You can walk to the beach, but the roads do not really have sidewalks and it takes about 25 minutes

  • Tariq's place was everything as advertised and more. You couldn't ask for a better location to stay in Manuel Antonio than his. My girlfriend and I both felt very safe in his place, and were impressed with how clean it was. The view was absolutely spectacular and the patio/porch with the hammock was awesome!

Tariq was very helpful in giving advice on restaurants and places to go, and was willing to accommodate in any way possible he could help. In close proximity, go to El Wagon for Pizza, Raphael's Terrazas at Sunset for dinner, Cafe Milago for Breakfast (right across the street), the Marina in Quepos is also a great new spot! Tariq recommended the Farmer's Market in Quepos by the Water (Fri Night & Sat AM) which was also a fun experience. All of these places are very close to Tariq's condo. We did have a rental car which made it easy for traveling, and no place was more than 5 minutes from the condo by car.

If you are looking for a primetime, safe, clean, convenient spot- look no further. Thanks for a great experience Tariq!

  • Great condo overlooking Manuel Antonio and the beach. Very comfortable living space with lots of room and high ceilings. The villas are conveniently located on the main strip, close to a bank and supermarket. Also some great restaurants all within 10 mins walk.

Tariq's friend Martin was able to meet us the first and last day to help us get settled into the place. Very friendly service from both, we would definitely recommend staying here to others looking for a great place to stay with a view.

  • Place is great. It's very clean, comes with a kitchen, located about 5-7min drive from the beach and the Manuel Antonio Park. View is awesome, you can sit on the balcony in the morning have coffee and enjoy the ocean view. There are plenty of places to eat.

You can hear a resteraunt which located right above the apartment, most of the time it was barely noticable but on the first night there was a very lound and very drunk customer there so it was a bit tough to relax.

    Overall great place.

  • THIS PLACE IS AMAZING !!! The location , the room and the view is breathtaking ! We´ve stayed there for three nights and couldn't ask for more. We didn't want to leave at all ! Communication was really good even though we didn't met Tariq, but one of his friends martin. He even picked us up quepos bus station and drove us to the apartment :). Fully equipment kitchen, really nice bathroom ,huge and comfortable bed with nice fans and aircon and a safe. If we are going back to Manuel Antonio we are definitely going to stay at this place !

  • I had a very relaxing stay at Tariq's apartment. Everything was as promised with an amazing view, monkeys roaming around, and a pleasant atmosphere all around. There was AC and internet and friendly neighbors all around. Tariq was especially helpful in helping me connect with some locals.

  • What a view! This condo has an amazing view of the ocean, and is very conveniently located. Tariq was very helpful and gave us great recommendations on places to go and things to do. Great value, especially for the view!

We would definitely consider staying here again.

If you stay here, be sure to walk across the street and down the hill to the North to eat at Cafe Milagro - it was our favorite place in Manuel Antonio.

I'm originally from London and my wife is from Trinidad & Tobago. We moved to Manuel Antonio (after only a two week holiday) in 2010 and haven't looked back since.
