Located in the center of Manuel Antonio, you have the best of both worlds, jungle with a view of the Pacific plus great facilities and restaurants. Our spacious one bedroom has a great balcony to chill on and watch the wildlife from your hammock.
Located at Villas El Parque in the heart of Manuel Antonio, this one bedroom self catering condo is ideal for two guests.
Wake up in the morning and have your coffee overlooking the Pacific and enjoy the sights and sounds of the jungle. Centrally located close to The National Park and the beaches. You will often see Squirrel, Capuchin and Howler monkeys, a wide array of tropical birds and if you're lucky a sloth or two.
The condo is arranged with a full kitchen opening onto the dining area, the bedroom has a Queen sized bed and the balcony has a million dollar view of the Pacific and Manuel Antonio National Park.
Villas El Parque is a short walk from a great selection of restaurants, bars and convenience stores and since you're on holiday they will deliver to you. If the mood takes you.
There are excellent bus and taxis services which will take you in one direction to the National Park and beaches and in the other to Quepos and the Marina Val Pez, should you fancy a day on the water fishing some of the most exciting waters in the region, if not the world.
Our guests have full use of the apartment along with access to the communal laundry (there is a small fee to the condominium for this) and of course full use of the pool and BBQ area.
Interaction with Guests
We like to meet our guests when they check in and out and are always on hand should you want any help or advice.
We're in the heart of Manuel Antonio, top of the hill almost ;-). You can walk to the best restaurants and an easy bus ride to the beach, National Park or Quepos.
We have a local bus shuttle that runs from Quepos to manuel Antonio beach, it costs about 60 cents and runs every 20 minutes. There are also lots of regulated taxi's and car hire. Car hire is only necessary if you want to explore further afar.

Tariq stayed in regular touch with us and made us feel very welcome. He even had some milk and OJ in the fridge for us. The number of the steps up to the apartment was a bit of a surprise but worth the effort as the view was beautiful and the terrace very private. The apartment was more than adequate. The pool is handy right across the driveway. This is a very popular tourist area close to many good restaurants thus a bit noisy. They usually settle down by 10:30 pm. From this unit it was not a problem. If you want a treehouse view through the canopy and don't mind climbing a few stairs than this one is for you!
Tariq is very accommodating, as he arranged airport transportation to and from the condo, had some essentials waiting in the fridge upon our arrival, and was easily accessible if we had any questions about the area or needed activity suggestions. No complaints whatsoever.
The condo itself did not disappoint either. It was clean, well maintained, and centrally located to pretty much everything you would want/need in Manuel Antonio. The pool was an amazing getaway when you didn't want to make the trip to the beach and we were usually the only people there. The view from the balcony/porch was beautiful at all hours of the day and the hammock makes a great place for early morning/evening reading or relaxing.
Overall, it was an amazing stay. Highly recommended.
Tariqs place was wonderful for many reasons. There is a great view of the forest and Pacific coast from the balcony. Although open enough to see the view and feel the breeze, the space is private and everything in the design seems to be situated to make it difficult for outsiders to see in. There are a number of restaurants located nearby. We enjoyed Emilio's for breakfast- great view and I recommend the rice and bean based dish. Tariq was very helpful especially in helping us get off the beaten bath on a kayak tour with his friend Loki, which led us to finding our next destination on the trip.
We had a fabulous time at this beautiful apartment. Tariq and Faheeda were welcoming and gracious; they invited us to tag along with them to a farmers market in a nearby town to see more of the "real" Costa Rica. As someone else said, the apt. is even nicer than it looks in the photos. The big big veranda does indeed overlook the ocean and gets cooling breezes. All the amenities were top-notch. And the pool was a relaxing oasis. The location near the Manuel Antonio Park, fabulous beaches & lots of restaurants, was a big plus also.
Stop looking. You've found the right place. Tariq graciously met us outside the condo and gave us the lay of the land. He gave great restaurant recommendations and pro-tips for exploring the surrounding area.
The view from the condo is down right stunning. You're within walking distance from dozens of great restaurants and bars and only 2km from the beach. We will be back!
My boyfriend and I loved our stay here! The apartment was very open and fairly large, though we spent the majority of our time out on the deck lounging in the hammock and taking in the view. Tariq was a wonderful host and not only gave us recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area, but also arranged our transportation to the airport at the end of our stay. He was very responsive and friendly, and I would highly recommend staying at this apartment.
Tariq responded quickly to my emails prior to arrival. He wasn't able to meet us during our check-in but did call to make sure everything was OK. He had several suggestions for us on where to go, eat, etc. during our 2-week stay and we took full advantage of his local knowledge. Maid service was provided once to provide for a change of bedding & towels.
The apt itself is as described and we certainly enjoyed it. The bathroom had lots of counter space. The frig is large. The balcony was heaven.
But...we did not enjoy the environment within which the apartment is located. Tariq is aware of our feelings and while these events were definitely outside his control, they do warrant mentioning in this review. They include:
1. noise..lots of it...starting at 6:30 am, lasting all day and well into the evening. Noise from the nearby open-air restaurant, noise from construction of the gym being built behind the apartment, noise from the neighbour's condo being renovated, noise from the traffic both on the nearby highway and on Pacific Canyon Drive. We had two quiet days during our entire 14-day stay. Maybe things were quiet during other guests' visit but they were not for us.
2. there is a general run-down feeling about Villas El Parques. The pool needs work (it was never as clean as neighbouring pools) and always had a musty smell. The frig in the bar area doesn't work. Many of the lounge chairs are rusty and in need of repair. Several lights that highlight the many, many stairs and driveway don't work.
“Wake up in the morning and have your coffee overlooking the Pacific and enjoy the sights and sounds of the jungle.” Not possible due to the noise levels.
“Centrally located close to The National Park and the beaches. You will often see Squirrel, Capuchin and Howler monkeys, a wide array of tropical birds and if you're lucky a sloth or two.” Again, not possible. We didn’t see a single “anything” during our 14-day stay. Again, that may be due to the noise levels.
“Villas El Parque is a short walk from a great selection of restaurants, bars and convenience stores and since you're on holiday they will deliver to you. If the mood takes you.” That is indeed all true but don’t try to walk it as there are no sidewalks or shoulders and no one will stop for you to cross the street.
All that to say, if you come here for some rest & relaxation, you might want to reconsider until the construction is completed & the restaurant noise is reduced. Other than that, Tariq’s place is a “bit of heaven”.
As you say, the construction noise that went on while you were at the apartment was organised without my knowing or in my control. There is an unwritten rule that construction is not undertaken in the neighbourhood during high season, that two people chose to ignore it was unfortunate and I did often apologise. When I asked you, you said it wasn't a big problem, if it had been I would have tried to find you alternative accommodation or offered a refund.
It is unfortunate that you choose to make it an issue now on your review. It also seems to have influenced your view of the whole area, I'm sorry for that .
