My friends and I stayed at this apartment for 3D2N. Aleksandra and her mom, Nina, were great hosts! They were fast in their responses and Nina's mom also sent several useful information about the area before our arrival.
The environment of the apartment was really good and seemed safe. The apartment however was about 20 minutes walk to Krakow Train Station and also minimally 10 minutes walk to Old Town. It is useful to have with you a map of the area or mobile data upon arrival so that you can map your way to the apartment.
The apartment itself was well equipped and heated; really nicely decorated! Only discomfort we experienced was that there was no shower curtain nor drain in the bathroom and hence the bathroom was always wet due to the showers and we had to use towels prevent ourselves from slipping - but the towels were almost always soaking wet.
On the whole, it was a pleasant stay - good enough for short stay(:
That is a pity that you did not contact me-the mop was on balcony. Up to now nobody questioned my shower- exactly like on photos, that is why I am very surprised.
By the way I wonder how could you left the apartment with 5 cm water on the floor in bathroom and obstructed shower outflow ......
We had an absolutely great time in Krakow - mainly because of the great accommodation. Aleksandra was a great host, provided helpful insight and tips to the city, and she even helped us find the right bus schedule to Wieliczka salt mine!
As a host, she absolutely respected our privacy, and was very flexible in terms of checking in and out of the flat. Did I mention that the flat is in a great location?
We would definitely stay there again!
We didn't actually stay in this apartment as it was flooded so at the last moment Aleksandra moved our stay to her new boutique apartment in the Old Town.
It turned out this was a move for the better . The apartment is large and very well equipped and it was a huge pleasure staying here.
It is very well located, just a short walk from all the attractions in the Old Town and other districts.
Aleksandra herself is very accommodating and did all she could to make our stay as nice as possible.
I would recommend staying in any of Aleksandra's apartments.
We had a lovely stay at Aleksandras place. She was super nice and made us feel really welcome. We found everything we needed, it was very clean and tidy and spent 8 wonderful days in Krakau
The aparrtment was very nice and newly renovated, in a great location with a fabulous view. We were able to park our car in the open complex car park because the was luckily an available park when we arrived.
Aleks and her Mum were lovely hosts and so helpful and welcoming.
It was to be able to walk into town, fabulous apt.
Aleksandra's place is cute, clean, and well-located. It's a easy walk to the center and to the train station. Aleks was very helpful and communicative the entire time. Her place is a good bargain, and Krakow is lovely!
I stayed for two nights at this propery and wish it had been several more. The bus from the airport dropped me off, as described, just around the corner from the building (a high-rise by inner-Krakow standards = unobstructed view from 9th floor of the Old Town to the immediate southeast) and Alexandra's kind, English-speaking parents, Mimi and Swavek, greeted me at the front door, showed me into the flat (linens/towels, breakfast, snacks and bottled water are provided) and gave me a few tips including where to get the best žurek in town. The street is one of the spokes that connect the "hub" of the Old Town to the first major beltway that encircles it; nevertheless, it was extremely quiet, the only outside noises I ever heard from the apartment having been Sunday-morning mass bells from the lovely little neighborhood church across the street, and (I think, although this one may have been a jet lag-induced hallucination) the distant, pre-dawn sound of the hourly bugler of St. Mary's.
Speaking of St. Mary's, the only way this apartment could be more convenient to the Old City is if it were in one of St. Mary's towers... or perhaps the infamous basement of the old town hall. Aleks visited with me briefly before i left. She is very cheerful and has a strong artistic bent, with interests in architecture and independent films, attributes reflected in the spritely, contemporary look she the place. She also keeps it cleaner than an operating room, which I very much appreciated - that in mind, if you're just looking for "a place to crash," try the hostel, as this probably isn't for you.
I couldn't recommend this property more highly as an ideal base from which to explore spectacular old Krakow, and hope to return someday.
