I'm a Belfast native and have lived abroad and travelled the globe. I love welcoming people to the city and to my home and look forward to making your trip special. I have worked in Universities, Colleges, City Councils, Voluntary and Community Sectors and have a life time of community development involvement. I am happy to provide city tours outlining the history of the Conflict, and visits to explore the cultural and artistic legacy of the City. Please inquire about optional extra rooms in the house (I have 4 bedrooms) as the Airbnb reservation system shows bookings for only one room.
We had such a lovely stay at Brigids in Belfast! Great conversations, we could have chatted with her for hours. Only shame was we didnt have more time to spend in Belfast. She has lots of great recommendations for places to eat, things to do/see and we were never disappointed. Anyone heading to Belfast would not be disappointed staying with Brigid, highly recommend her house and her as a host! xox
she is nice helpful and patient .the room is clean and comfortable
This is my 3rd time staying with Brigid. This time my mother came with me. As always Brigid is a fabulous host, and even took my mother and I on a tour. She is always helpful in making sure your stay is comfortable.
Very welcoming cosy house. Really friendly atmosphere, with beautiful furnishings and home comforts.
I had a lovely time staying in Brigid's home. Warm and inviting and a perfect location to get to central town areas. Definitely staying here next time I am in Belfast.
Bridget has a very warm and welcome home making our stay very comfortable. She was like a second mum, making us tea and something to eat as we arrived.
The room is very spacious with your own tea and coffee facilities or you could make it in the kitchen near the open fire.
Easy access to the centre of Dublin and botanical gardens either by walking or there is a bus stop around the corner. We caught a taxi from the bus centre which was 5 pounds.
This is not a room to miss.
It was a pleasure to stay with Brigid, she is full of knowledge, attentive to all of her guests and goes way beyond what one would expect from a host. She even made me soup when I wasn't feeling well! Her home is very charming and I loved having an electric blanket on the cold nights.
My friend and I were looking for a place to stay the night in Belfast at the last minute as we were driving through the city. Brigid was very prompt in replying to my enquiries and was very helpful as I was without internet connection. In the end it was all sorted and smooth sailing, thanks to Brigid. She even stayed up late to let us in and then 'mothered' us to make sure we had everything we need after our stressful and hectic day! Very much appreciated!
Her house is an absolute gem! Our room was perfect, super clean and incredibly comfortable! We had our own coffee and tea facilities in the room. Towels and robes were also provided. My friend and I were like on cloud nine after a long day of driving! Brigid gave us tips on where to eat and have a few cold ones which are walking distance away.
There were breakfast items available for you to prepare in the morning. Her beautiful house is like a home away from home!
I was made so very welcome, my working week was far smoother than I’d imagined. What an amazing place to stay, a home from home and Brigid exudes warmth and wisdom. A very comfortable, super clean, quiet, peaceful and loving place to rest.
Brigid is a pure gem. I was looking for a bed for my mother during her weekend visit to her son (myself, that is) in Belfast. I could have slept on the floor while she would have slept on my single army-like bed, but I doubt she would have found as much peace on it as at Brigid's. Just a day before her arrival, I was desperate to find a room for her when I came accross Brigid's listing and I made a true discovery. My mother missed her flight and landed a lot later than expected. Last minute plans, informing her of my mother's arrival late at night, and coming to her place to pick up the keys beforehand haven't changed a thing to Brigid's will to make my mother welcome in a home away from home. We all had great conversations and spirits running high the three of us. My mother felt very cozy in her comfy room up the stairs. Brigid has worked for a considerable of years in cross-community organizations in Belfast and I need to meet her again to have more insight into the [peculiar situation of the city. x0x0x, Olivier
