It was a pleasure to stay at Teresa's flat near the Vaticano. Teresa is a very educated lady that showed us her beautiful apartment, explaining how to use the comodities and above all, where to find things in the neighbourhood.
The location of the flat is great just in front of one of the biggest markets -Mercato Triunfale that we used on a daily basis. The street also offers a supermarket, a bakery is next door, as well as a Tratoria and a Osteria.
The flat has a fantastic terrace, a great kitchen and space for three. Everything was in mint condition. The beds are very confortable and the bed linens and towels were scented
The flat offers a very rich and personalised decor and a great great bookshelf-a small library! We had the opportunity to use various guides for Rome and the Vatican, as well as to read a novel about Roman Emperors or to look for Wally in his famous Where is Wally
I can clearly recommend this flat for both family travellings as well as for couples or individual travellers. Location is very close to Vatican, Ottavian & Cipro Tube station.
Our host Teresa was very gracious and helpful! She waited for us even though we arrived in the evening and gave us a tour of her cozy apartment. The apartment is just as described, with nice antique furniture (except the kitchen, which is very spacious and modern!), a very large terrace with patio furniture, and art everywhere on the walls, some of it painted by Teresa's husband! Teresa left a wine for us, bread, and a few things for breakfast, which was a very nice gesture. We had everything we needed in the apartment and a supermarket was just 100m down the street, while the biggest indoor farmer's market in Rome is just across the street. The location of the apartment is perfect for sightseeing in Rome (even on foot!). The only slight drawback (which for us was not a big problem, but it might be for those with a light sleep) is that the bedroom, living room and terrace overlook a busy street, which is quite loud, especially in the evening when police cars or ambulances pass by. However, with the windows closed, the noise was definitely at an acceptable level (we preferred the keep the windows opened and the AC off). All in all, it was a great experience and we warmly recommend Teresa's apartment for a stay in Rome. We would definitely choose this apartment again!
Teresa made me feel very welcome and gave a good tour of the house. It is a beautiful apartment with large kitchen, comfortable bedroom, pretty living room/hallway and a very large terrace area. Everything was very clean and presentable, and I did feel very much at home for my stay. Teresa left bread, milk, butter and jams as well as some fruit and biscuits which was very much appreciated. There are a couple of nice cafes a few doors away, and a market opposite. It is also close to two metro stations (Ottaviano and Cipro) and a number of bus routes, and of course, the Vatican.
Had a fantastic time. Teresa met us and explained through the apartment. We were right in the city which was great for sight seeing!
