Teresa made me feel very welcome and gave a good tour of the house. It is a beautiful apartment with large kitchen, comfortable bedroom, pretty living room/hallway and a very large terrace area. Everything was very clean and presentable, and I did feel very much at home for my stay. Teresa left bread, milk, butter and jams as well as some fruit and biscuits which was very much appreciated. There are a couple of nice cafes a few doors away, and a market opposite. It is also close to two metro stations (Ottaviano and Cipro) and a number of bus routes, and of course, the Vatican.
Had a fantastic time. Teresa met us and explained through the apartment. We were right in the city which was great for sight seeing!
The apartment hosted by Teresa during our first stay in Italy was most comfortable and spacious. Once we figured out how to adjust the temperature we were very comfortable. It got chilly the first night, but after that we were fine. There was a down blanket in the closet, and the thermostat worked just fine.
Teresa left us a generous assortment of edibles for our breakfasts and demonstrated how to make espresso the Italian way. We were hooked after that!
Only downside is it's a 3 story walk up, but during the rest of our travels we found most apartments involve some stairs, so be prepared for this.
We especially appreciated the close proximity to Vatican city. We walked there every day while in Rome. So much to see and do and the convenience factor was a plus!
Thank you Teresa for your hospitality and making sure that we had everything we needed.
Salve! Teresa was an excellent and charming host. She even supplied us with an Easter bread! Her apartment was amazing and culturally decorated located in a very Roman neighborhood so you don't feel like a tourist. Definitely will stay here again. Millie Grazie Hermosa! Cheers!
I really enjoyed our time at this apartment. Teresa presented us with a spotless apartment as well as some drinks, fruit and breakfast items on the house for us to enjoy. I LOVE the kitchen. It's modern and one of the biggest that I've seen in a family home in Europe. The mercado across the street is FANTASTIC. While we were there a group was receiving an educational food tour. It was also a very easy walk to the Vatican. The restaurants and cafes up and down the street were excellent as well. The only little thing was we had some problems with continuous warm water for the shower, so we just ended up drawing a nice bath instead.
