Bethany is a nice host, loved our stay at her apartment. My fiance and I were travelling thru two different airports, in and out of the NYC, and Bethany was adjustable with our late arrival and departure. She helped us out with the neighbourhood taxi service for pickup and dropoff, constantly in touch. Showed around the house, directed us to some nice joints for our meals on the Prospect Av. Across the street there are plenty of joints for breakfast, lunch and dinner, google reviews for them were excellent. Fort Hamilton subway is close by, max 7 mins of walk, with a nice view. Her cat wasnt much of a problem during our stay. The room is nicely done with great artifacts and my fiancé loved them all. I would recommend a stay with Bethany. Cheers!!
This was my first time using Airbnb and I'm definitely happy I did because Bethany was a very welcoming host. When we met she gave me the "lay of the land." Her place is very conveniently located near the F train, Prospect Park, some really nice Cafe's and a gas station (in order to pick up snacks/water if needed).
Bethany was a welcoming host. She kept in touch with us on our first day regarding our arrival. Her bedroom was large & comfortable. She was not in the apt. overnight our 1st 2 nights -- so we had the "shared" bathroom to ourselves. Our son & family live in the neighborhood which made her place most attractive to us. We did not need guidance on getting around. Access to F train was also a plus.
Bethany made us feel welcome and gave some pointers on the neighborhood. The apartment is in a good location with easy access to parks and the subway, bed is comfortable. Overall staying in this apartment offers an authentic NYC experience with both the good and the bad. We drove to the city and parked on the street across from the building. Next day we noticed that the car's hubcaps were stolen (probably it will cost us around $250 to replace them). If you are sensitive to noise, make sure you bring a pair of earplugs.
Hi Martin, I am sorry that the hubcaps to your car were stolen. This is a safe neighborhood with numerous families, but I guess this kind of thing can happen in almost any NYC neighborhood. I am sorry and hope that the car rental place didn't charge you. As for the noise, yes the apartment building is at a busy intersection, so during the peak rush hours in the morning and at 6pm there is considerable traffic noise. Weekends tend to be quiet. So if you're sensitive to city noise do bring earplugs.
We had another wonderful stay with Bethany in Brooklyn. The room is spacious and comfortable. Bethany was very welcoming for both of our stays. It's perfect for us especially because our son's family is a block away, and it has other advantages as well. It is between two subway stops to Manhattan, easy walking distance for either. There are several delightful local restaurants and coffee shops nearby. We feel very safe in the neighborhood. We look forward to staying with Bethany again.
Staying at Bethany's was a comfortable experience. The room was large, the bed was very comfortable and the entire place was clean. The apartment is within a few minutes of walk from Church St. on the F/G line and it takes about 30 minutes to get to Manhattan, making the place quite cost-effective. Recommended to those of you who're interested in spending a few days in the city.
