  • To cut a long story short: Perfect location, nice neighborhood with numerous bars/cafes/shops, right next to the L train station. Spencer is a great host, helpful and friendly. The house had all we needed. We had a great time, can't think of anything wrong.

  • Spencer was an amazing host. It was my first time ever using airbnb and first time to NYC. He made the accommodations really easy to find and figure out. We even met up for a beer in Toronto before I left to exchange the keys and talk about some of the cool bars and restaurants in his area. When I got there, I found his apartment nicely kept with a beauty little balcony to sit out on. His bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. The apartment is uncluttered and bright. It is also in a perfect neighbourhood for wandering and checking out bars and restaurants. It is also about 10 min from 14 st in manhattan. He recommended a few good ones. Spencer was really easy to get ahold of and made the transition very easy. I would totally recommend Spencer's place to anyone looking to go out and explore and have a nice pad to come back to. Oh and on a sidenote, I left an important charger there by accident and he sent it right back to me!

    Thanks Spencer!

  • Spencer is the absolute best host. My boyfriend and I just took a vacation to NYC and had originally reserved another Airbnb space. After our other space suffered a fire (I know, completely bizarre - a complete accident as well) Spencer arranged to take us in last minute - he was even out of town! The place was clean, in a perfect location, had an L train stop on the block and communication with Spencer and his friend in the city was so easy. I highly recommend staying here!

  • The apartment was in the perfect location for our trip and was a nice little place to call home for 5 days. Spencer was really great to work with leading up to our arrival and checked in a couple times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed, as well.

  • Spencer's place is very conveniently located, neat and cozy. Stayed here during a snow storm and was happy to have all the creature comforts of home. Great place to stay warm during a winter trip to NYC!

  • We very much enjoyed our stay in NY. Spencer was a very considerate and attentive host who did his upmost to make sure all was well and we felt welcome.
We would come back again and stay in this cozy studio.

  • Everything about this apartment was great! Dealing with Spencer was very pleasant and easy. He always replied to messages and questions incredibly quickly and was very helpful.

The place itself is in a perfect position! Only 2 minutes from the L train, which takes you not only straight into Manhattan, but also to the heart of Williamsburg in less than ten minutes. Around the apartment itself are a lot of restaurants, bars, convenience stores etc. We had Mexican, burgers, great coffee and heroes all within a minute's walk from the apartment.

While it is not a big apartment, it has everything you need and is definitely big enough for a couple. Personally, I would only stay there with more than one other person in summer, when you want to be mostly outside anyway.

The only issue we had was that one day it was freezing cold (-16 degrees Celsius) and the apartment wouldn't heat up properly. On all other cold days is was fine though.

I would definitely recommend staying here!

  • We had a very good time in NYC and the appartment is located in a great area! The only problem we had was the heat that wouldn't work properly in the beginning. But Spencer was easy to reach, very cooperative and considerate - a good host so! :)

  • The apartment was great and we really enjoyed the little balcony outside with a great view of the city. It was an ideal location just mins away from the train station, with lots of restaurants and delis near by and Spencer was really on top of communications with me on everything. All in all a really good experience with Airbnb and we will definitely use it again.
