Listing was exactly as described. David and Marge went way out of their way to make us feel comfortable - ensuring that we had every thing we needed. They welcomed us with open arms and made us feel at home right away. The home is filled with fresh flowers from the garden and love from the hosts. The room is snug but adequate- we were out most of the day so it did not matter to us. Came home tired and hosts were very respectful and quiet when I needed to go to bed early. They let me use their space the next day to work remotely and could not have been friendlier.
David and Marge were wonderful hosts. I was only staying in the area for one night and Airbnb was the perfect solution. The house, in a pretty location, was charming and very comfortable, with a private bedroom and bathroom. I was welcomed from the moment I walked in with the generous offer of a glass of wine or tea, and chatting in the living room was a relaxing start to a nice night. David and Marge offered several recommendations for a casual dinner in the area, with choices close by within a few miles. I had a nice quiet evening and slept well on the pull out sofa that was already set up very comfortably. Other than the interesting and friendly conversation, the amazing French toast breakfast was a real highlight. David and Marge take great pride in hosting travelers and I look forward to returning the next time I'm in the area to see my new friends.
They answered every inquiry I had about directions immediately. They made sure they knew my plans exactly...and told me theirs. They were very friendly, but let me have my privacy. Their home showed that they had worked very hard for it to be absolutely clean and attractive to guests. They succeeded. Of course, their home is also in one of the most historic and beautiful parts of Connecticut. The house and grounds were lovely and perfect. I had my portable dinner in their beautiful "zen" gardens. It was peaceful and lovely. My hosts, David and Marge, were very charming and interesting. Their house was perfect; with the most wonderful house plants I have ever seen. The house is located in one of the most charming and lovely parts of the U.S. The hosts went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. I wish everyone were like them.
Marge and David's house is beautifully decorated and full of character. They are welcoming and generous hosts who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable in their home. Marge's breakfasts were delightful. Over the course of my stay, they invited me to several cultural events, which unfortunately my schedule did not allow me to attend. I look forward to returning.
This is my first time booking a room via Airbnb and the experience surpassed my expectation. The listing was accurate: a clean and peaceful private room in a country home; a clean bathroom next to the bedroom; wireless internet; and delicious breakfast. The bed was a pull-out sofa bed, but it was comfortable and I slept so well. The best part of the stay is the wonderful hosts. Marge and David are very kind and caring. They even gave me a private tour; they took me to a temple after I expressed interest. I also enjoyed the conversation with them over breakfast. They are truly wonderful people. I will definitely stay at their home again when I am in the area.
David and Marge were gracious and generous hosts. Marge prepared delicious breakfasts, and they both were helpful with advice and directions for navigating and picking up gifts in the area. Furthermore, David was extremely helpful in finding troubleshooting help when my cell phone suddenly ceased to operate. As advertised, their home was warm and welcoming. They made me feel like family.
