We stayed in this lovely little villa in the north end of downtown Charleston for 3 nights. It is a good location since MUCH of Charleston's hopping night lift has moved north and is just a few blocks away on King Street, and the place was very clean and had a really fabulous courtyard. The only detraction is that the suite is set up ideally for 2, and we were 3 people (who let the senior have the lovely bedroom on the 2nd floor) -- it would even work fine for 3 if the single was downstairs. Very secure, easy keyless entry -- we never actually met Maybre, but check-in and check out were super smooth and it was great to have codes rather than keys to fumble with to get in. I would stay there again if we went as a two-some!
This is a charming place. Probably converted from a carriage house into a two story apartment that shares the same courtyard as the main house. We never ran into the people who live in the main house or saw the property manager. Checked-in procedure: we had a little trouble finding the place because it was dark; it would have been nice to have some lights in the courtyard as the ground is uneven and it was hard to see the security code pad on the door. Location: situated on a quiet street but within walking distance to restaurants on King's Street; quite a bit distance to the heart of the historic district (south of Calhourn Street). Sleep: the bed is large and comfortable. Bathroom: a bit small, and the shower curtain is bit dirty; there are plenty of towels. Others: wifi works well. There is a cat in the courtyard and could have gotten inside the apartment. Some sort of alarms go off every few hours (only for a few seconds). The alarm woke us up a couple times, and we couldn't figure out where the strange alarm was coming from.
The villa was just as advertised. A great location and everything we needed. We would happily stay there again on our next visit to Charleston.
We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful and quaint villa. It was clean and in a great location!
Terrific place in perfect location for trendy Upper King Street fun. Easy access to downtown Charleston too. Maybre was easy to contact, very accommodating and provided comprehensive information. Try it. You'll love it.
The villa is beautiful. It was very clean and in a good location. Be prepared to strip the bed and take out your own garbage before you leave.
Great location - easy to find and get to and from town, very quiet in its own cul-de-sac. The courtyard, with its fenced in area and gate felt very private. There were lights on in the big house but we never saw any people. I imagine that in warmer weather the courtyard would be ideal for eating or evening drinks, and the lap pool would be lovely for a cooling dip. This villa is really perfect for 2 people - even though it can technically sleep four - it would have to be a family, not 2 couples as you have to walk through the upstairs bedroom to take your shower and downstairs the little table only seats two and there is only the sofa to sit in. However, for us 2 friends it was just fine, and little kitchenette worked perfectly. The first night I was a little cold on the downstairs futon/sofa bed as the cotton quilt/blanket was not very warm and turning the heating up made the upstairs unbearable. However 2nd night worked better with upstairs blanket as well. But all in all, very happy with our stay, would definitely stay there again. Never actually spoke with Maybre but she responded quickly to my emails and gave us good restaurant suggestions and directions etc., to the house.

The house is awesome!! Really beautiful, everything seems brand new, it's decorarated with taste... It has also nice details as a hair dryer. It's perfect for 4 guests. The location is also very good: 5 minutes walk to the main street. We really recommend it!!
