This is a one bedroom space with a full size bed, there is also a living room/reading area, dining room, full kitchen and full bathroom. Includes WiFi & you can sign into your own streaming service on the tv. Please refer to the check-in instructions for a map on how to find our private parking lot!

The space
The space is very cozy and unique. It’s decorated to make you feel at home and the live indoor plants give it a peaceful vibe. We’ve tried to keep the historical aspect going with vintage & antique furniture, when we can. You’re in a historical area, so the building is older and has some cute quirks. Always kept sparkling clean!
There are air conditioning units in the living room and bedroom during the warm months, typically April-October. These will be removed during late fall/winter.
Our kitchen is stocked with the basics for cooking (pots, pans, etc.) plus a full size refrigerator/freezer and an electric stove/oven. Next to the coffee maker you will find complimentary coffee, cream & sugar. Microwave & small toaster included.
Connected to the kitchen is a small dining room with a large wooden dinner table. More than enough room for two to sit down for a cozy dinner under warm lighting.
The bathroom has a shower and bathtub, it is stocked with plenty of towels for 2 guests. We also provide a clothes steamer & hair dryer, which are located in the corner closet. There is a small wall heater next to the sink to provide extra heat if needed. Basic shampoo, conditioner and small soaps are also provided - find these in the corner closet.
We really hope you enjoy the living room with all of the natural lighting. As for the tv, you can sign into streaming services with your own account. Right now, there is a small loveseat and a sitting chair for seating.
The bedroom features an antique full size bed. (The mattress is modern.) There is also a small dresser and a closet with a few hangers.

Guest access
The whole apartment is yours. You must use a full flight of outdoor stairs to access the space. We do share a large private parking lot and back yard with the entire building, although you won’t see us much. The parking lot & patio area have security cameras strictly for monitoring the outside of the building. You’ll occasionally see myself, my wife and a couple artists who share the downstairs as a workspace. Everyone is very friendly and respectful! We don’t usually spend much time outside the building unless tending to plants or working in the garage, so we won’t be intrusive.
Other things to note
Maps will take you to the front of the apartment building. You will actually be parking in the private lot *behind* the building where the apartment is located, you will have to use the side alley to access this lot. I will include a map to help you but there is also free street parking right in front of the apartment building. It’s all very convenient!
This space can only accommodate two adults. It is not suitable for children due to many safety factors both indoors and outdoors.
Contactless check-in. You can arrive anytime after 3pm and we will leave the key in a designated spot for you. I will send check-in info a couple days before your arrival.
Even with the brand new water heater - the hot water comes on slow in the shower, please be patient!
I do my best to keep the apartment steps and sidewalks shoveled & salted during snowstorms.
Somerset is a very safe & quiet village. A perfect stop to rest on your cross country trip! Please check out my guide book on the app for recommendations around town. We have a local grocery store a couple of blocks from the apartment and several local eateries within the village.
The outdoor trash can is located beside the stop sign at the end of the parking lot. The larger size cans are for trash, the smaller cans are for recycling.
