In an international survey, Manuel Antonio was recognized by Forbes Magazine in 2013 as one the most beautiful National Parks. We couldn't agree more.
Public bus to the National Park/Beach or into Quepos is just 65 cents, service every 30 minutes from 6am - 7pm then hourly until the last bus, alternately taxi's can be flagged down anywhere on the road 24-hours-a-day.
Other Things to Note
Guest reviews on Trip Advisor consistently rate their stay with us as excellent. We are a fully restored Spanish Colonial property located near the road to Manuel Antonio National Park which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Costa Rica. Rooms at front of the property have been renovated to minimize ambient noise with new windows, doors and A/C with the compressor mounted outside. However for guests who are sensitive sleepers we are pleased to offer complimentary earplugs.
All our rooms are non-smoking however we do allow smoking in areas where it will not offend other guests.
Door access code and wi-fi password will be provided on check-in.
We have parking if you are driving a vehicle, also we can book a private transfer or shared ride shuttle service that goes "to-or-from" most places in Costa Rica.
We are so happy to have found Coyaba Tropical for our first visit to Costa Rica. Coyaba is a garden paradise surrounded with lush trees, plants & flowers. Families of macaws that often flew above us during breakfast was a highlight as well! Mike & Paul (Ginger & Shadow) are terrific B n B hosts. They are very hospitable. It felt like our second home for 7 days. Paul made some delicious authentic CR breakfast that fortified us throughout the day. We loved the daily fresh fruit, baked goods and homemade bread! Mike helped us with adventure excursions and recommend restaurants. All suggestions were spot on! We especially liked coming back to unwind in the hot tub and pool after a full day of exploring, hiking, excursions, etc.; there were no restrictions!
Coyaba Tropical is in an ideal location between downtown Quepos and Manuel Antonio, minutes away via public transportation or taxi (both inexpensive). Thank you Mike and Paul for making our first visit to CR such a positive experience!
perfect place to be in quepos! i have never been to such a cosy place before. The hosts are friendly and really bother about you. But the best thing to start your day is enjoying the fantastic breakfast which is served infront of the pool. Thank you Mike and Paul!! Greets Maria and Family
Mike was great! Very welcoming and helpful. The place was beautiful and very close to everything! Would definitely recommend.
We had an excellent experience staying at the Coyaba Tropical B and B. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful in directing us to great restaurants, beaches and activities. The accommodations were perfect for our needs, newly renovated and well appointed. The pool area was a relaxing respite after a busy day. There were eight of us in 3 rooms. Although the main road was a bit close, everyone seemed to sleep well despite the traffic noise. The breakfasts each morning were excellent and varied with fresh fruit, homemade bread, jams, juices and eggs. Overall, I would highly recommend this friendly B and B.
We really appreciate your comments Kelly. One of the realities of Manuel Antonio is that most properties are close to the only road to the National Park / Beach, and there are a lot of motorcycles and tour buses here. However the week you stayed with us over the Christmas/New Year holiday also happens tro be our peak tourist season when we have a lot of traffic on the road, which is why we offer ear plugs for guests who may be sensitive sleepers.
Mike and Paul were great hosts and we had a fantastic experiance staying with them. From the fresh flowers in our immaculate room, to the lovely grounds we felt at home there (if our home was in paradise). The breakfasts Paul cooked were every bit as amazing as the reviews we had read. That man makes the best plantains I've ever had and I had some good ones on the trip. Mike was able to suggest some good things for my wife and I to do and even gave a few good suggestions for a morning run. I also appreciated their 3 sweet, quiet dogs. We only wish we had a few more days there as it's such a relaxing place. Definitely would recommend this place highly.
