We had the most wonderful stay with Libby. The house is incredible - open fireplaces, paintings and period furniture. The room we stayed in was very well kept with a huge and very comfortable bed. Libby is a charming host and an incredible baker too. We were greeted upon arrival with freshly baked cakes and tea. I highly recommend Sheehy's at Springfield - you will not be disappointed!
Libby was a fantastic and hospitable host! Here delicious baked treats and breakfast were only icing on the cake. We found our stay at Springfield B&B to be very pleasurable and would definitely return if given the chance. Thank you!!
I normally prefer to stay in apartments rather than B and Bs but this mansion was too good to pass up. It is an old and beautiful yet comfortable home with en suite bathrooms. Libby and her family were great hosts and provided a great balance of service and personal space. Celbridge is a cute town to visit and it's easy to visit Dublin by car. The bus to Dublin stops right in front of the estate and takes 30 minutes to get downtown. I definitely recommend staying here.
Libby and the whole property was great! Couldn't have picked a better place to stay for St Paddys day and the breakfast was incredible. Best pancakes I've ever had! Would definitely recommend. Easy to get to the city center too.
I had a little snag in my planning and Libby let me come visit at her lovely BnB a day early. Her family was wonderfully accommodating and did their best to make me feel 'a part of,' which was helpful over the holidays as I was traveling alone. The home is beautiful and well kept and the grounds were JUST what I was looking for, providing a 'country' experience though less than an hour from Dublin. Breakfast every morning was scrumptious and I felt like a Queen eating in the beautiful dining room. A very lovely experience with an exceptional host in a great environment. Go visit!
Our family of seven stayed at Libby's bed and breakfast for four days -- and it was a wonderful place. The house and grounds are simply magnificant and the morning breakfast was simply delicious. The house is about a 15-minute bus ride from the center of Dublin -- easily accessible because a bus stops in front of the bed and breakfast gates.
We highly recommend staying here.
