Judith was very accommodating and sweet; she helped me out at the last minute when I needed a place. I would definitely come back :)
Judith was really convenient, and the room is really welcoming and cosy ! I absolutely recommand this place.
This was the 4th airbnb location I stayed at during my 2 week stay in the Bay area, and the worst. Judith was there to greet us. She made a comment about our arriving 11 minutes before 4 pm. Wow! The house is not as pictured. It is very shabby and run down, could use a paint job. The room was also not as pictured. pieces of furniture-the arched bookshelf was not there nor the wooden closet. The actual closet is hidden by that moveable piece and has no door. The latter was stuffed in the hallway. Pity the person that stays in the room and has to maneuver by that moveable closet. The bathroom had a moldy shower curtain....skeevoots! And we had to keep the unscreened windows opened because the house had an odor to it from whatever was going on in the kitchen. This is not a bed and breakfast ....it is a short term boarding house. We had no glasses in the room either, so I McGyver-ed drinking vessels from water bottles I cut in half with a corkscrew. Upon leaving I noticed the room next to us that was vacated had 2 glasses and 2 bottles of water in spring top bottles. Wondering if we were being punished for arriving 11 minutes early. LOL!
Location, Location. Judith place is ideal for Oakland and Berkley adventures. The Cozy two bed...room was the perfect spot of our East Bay excursions. The house is 4 easy blocks from the Ashby train station and easily walkable to Elmwood. Would definitely stay at Judith's again.
Judith was nice and the description of the listing was accurate. The neighborhood was a nice and safe residential area. We didn't spend too much time hanging out in the house, but overall it was a great experience! About 20-30 minutes away from the San Francisco piers, Chinatown, etc. Convenient
Judith's place was very clean cozy just as described on Airbnb, great location and she was very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
Great place and wonderful host. Room was immaculate. Just left clear instructions. We walked every where so the house was situated perfectly for visiting without a car. Safe neighborhood. Enjoyed our visit.

I am a College Professor, teaching at City College, S.F., in the Older Adults Department. I teach T'ai Chi Chih and Mind/Body/Spirit Health. I have a Private Counseling Practice in Berkeley, out of my home, where I counsel people with an emphasis on Holism. I teach a system called the Enneagram which describes 9 different personality types. It is a wonderful tool for deepening ones understanding of oneself. I conduct groups with this orientation.
I love gardening and spend many hours in my luscious garden, meditating, doing T'ai Chi Chih and teaching classes, as well as pulling up the perennial little weeds which want to overwhelm my sunflowers, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, rose, cosmos, etc plants. I am basically, but not strictly, a vegetarian enjoying eating food from my garden, as well as the organic boxes of food delivered by FarmFreshToYou.
I am working on a book and find the garden the perfect place to be writing.
I am a Mother and a Grandmother, spending time with my very large extended family less than before. Everyone is growing up and very involved in their own wonderful lives! I'm grateful for the abundance of family.
I have traveled extensively, Europe; from Turkey to India by land, when that was possible; Africa; Israel; Mexico, almost all of the 50 States. I love different cultures and meeting people and learning about their lives. My three favorite cities in the world are San Francisco, Istanbul, and New Orleans.
I am an avid reader, as well as an amateur musician, picking up the clarinet and sitting at the piano periodically.
I enjoy watching dvds from Netflex, my favorites so far have been West Wing and Treme. I don't watch tv. Dislike the commercials. I listen to NPR, KQED, KALW, KPFA, and KCSM, the 24 hour jazz station. I also enjoy the classical station.
