  • These guys are the absolute best! We stayed with them on our second and third nights and found them to be totally delightful! After having spent another week in Ireland I can say without a doubt that they are my favorite Irish couple of all time! They are warm, hospitable, caring and care-giving yet happy to accommodate our plans. They added in little extras along the way that were really nice touches and were excellent conversation partners. Not to mention they know a lot about the area and local history. I would love to just move into their house and spend loads of time with them. You can't go wrong with this one--and I'm not inclined to give overly effusive praise but these guys are the real deal--even referred to us as "my darlings" and you know we Americans eat that kind of stuff up--and speaking of eat, the food was fantastic! I know it sounds too good to be true but for our first ever AirB&B experience we couldn't be happier.

  • Maggiee and I had a great experience at John & Janette's home over the Cork Jazz Festival(it's worth visiting!) weekend.

On our first night, we arrived into Cork city with little time to spare for a session at the festival. John went out of his way to help and drove down to meet us, got us to his home and then dropped us down to city centre so we were not late. That's great customer service!

On many occasions, John helped with excellent directions to places in Cork & great advice.

He is a great conversationalist. We had wonderful conversations with John and his wife.

They have a lovely warm compact house with a fantastic shower! All located in a quiet secure neighbourhood.

I would recommend John & Janette's home to everyone. They are very genuine open people with good hearts. Next time, we come to Cork we will stay with John!

  • If you go to Cork, this is a wonderful place to stay! Donnybrook is a quiet neighbourhood on the outskirts of Cork, and there is a good bus connection to the city centre. We spent three days there and just had a marvellous time. The room with ensuite bathroom is cosy and clean, and our hosts made us feel perfectly at home. John and Jeanette are generous, open-minded and always ready to help if necessary. John came to pick us up at the bus station in the city centre, and he even took us on a tour to the seaside by car showing us places we could not have visited otherwise. He has a vast knowledge about Irish history, and you get useful tips for your visit of Cork. Jeanette is warmhearted and witty, and with the extensive breakfast she serves, you have a great start into the day. Both are wonderful people to talk with, and chatting away with them was both interesting and a lot of fun!
We really enjoyed our stay: 100% (if not more) recommendation!

  • John and Janette were lovely hosts. From picking us up from the airport after 10pm, to breakfast and fun chats. Our rooms were exactly as we thought they'd be. Our breaksfasts were able to hold us over till lunchtime wherever we traveled. The bus stop was within a 5 minute walk, which was perfect.
We had two rooms and they were a perfect size for our family of 4.
Thanks so much, John and Janette. We miss you both already.

Y es de agradecer cuando llegas a una ciudad que no conoces.
La habitación y el baño geniales, y la casa un encanto.
