I have a bedroom available in my home here in Providence.Built by the president of Gorham Silver Company in 1870,It is still pretty much intact as I am only the third owner since it was built. I am located near downtown on the west side ,near bus lines ,highways and schoolsThis bedroom is upholstered in green silk more and decorated with Japanese woodblock prints. There's a four poster bed and definitely has a traditional feel to it..From the Morris wallpaper to the Tiffany lamps and stained glass windows and doors it's all here. This would be ideal for the traveler on business or (email hidden)ere is parking, and ample grounds including a rose garden and deck. There is also a Steinway model B in excellant condition in the living room available for use.Truly unique. You simply are not going to find anything like this in Providence.I am located a half block from a bus stop that will take you directly downtown. Please note I now charge if there is more than one guest. This is simply because of the price of food. Please check out my photos. Available daily ,weekly or long term. Also please note that I have two other lisitngs on airbnb in the same house.I have another room available on the first floor and a one bedroom apartment.I have had guest who were not aware of this.
This is a pretty low key home.Live and let live.I do expect people to respect the other people living in the house as there are also apartments that are rented out long term.I do make breakfast in the morning and it is helpful to let me knowv in advance what time you want it .I usually am out by 9:30 so please let me know in advance if you want breakfast later than that.I can also have breakfast ready by 6:30..If you are staying long term sheets are changed twice a week and there are plenty of towels just ask.I'm pretty flexible about check out time but let me know in advance if you are going to be later than 1:00.usually it's no problem unless someone else is coming in
Chip is very knowledgeable about the area and open to conversation. The house is amazing and breakfast was a special treat!
We had a blast at Chip's place! The room was cozy and the decor was a perfect fit to our weekend away in New England. Chip is also a fantastic cook.
Chip has taken great care to open his historic home to guests. We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast in the morning was a bonus!
Chip's house is gorgeous. It made me feel like living in another world which is antique and peaceful. The check-in and check-out process are flexible.
A trip to Providence would be incomplete without staying at Chip's gloriously eccentric home. He is an affable, warm host and an easy conversationalist. His breakfasts are, in one word, phenomenal. Prepare yourselves accordingly.
I had such a lovely time at Chip's home. The house is glorious: antique interior design with many little trinkets to view and admire. Chip made incredible breakfast dishes both mornings and was very nice and warm. The house feels like a museum and my entire stay was quite magical :)
