About This Listing
My space offers a private bedroom in my 2 bedroom apartment. The room has tv and the apartment has WIFI. I have 2 dogs, Bell ( 11 yo) and Desdemona (3 yo). I am a gay male, 39 years old. I love to cook, most mornings I make coffee and breakfast (some days it's not possible due to time/work constraints). I work from home and I'm available to assist with travel details and or reservations as needed. The apartment is located on 30th street between 8th and 9th Ave. Penn Station is 2 blocks away. The A, C, and E trains are just up the street on 8th Ave and 33rd St. The location is a perfect starting point to experience NYC. The new "Highline Park" entrance is straight down 30th St. If you're driving here, there are 2 parking garages on the block (you may want to check for coupons online before parking) . There are way too many things to see and do to list here... it's NYC. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
kitchen, bathroom, fresh towels and linens and of course, the dogs ;-)
Interaction with Guests
since I work from home I'm available, if guests need me I'm generally around.
transit is very easy... penn station is two blocks away.
Not many rules...
Most important, please don't feed Bell or Desdemona any food. The girls are both very cute and very crafty, they will try but please be strong and withstand the urge. (Dez has food allergies) Always lock the door when you leave the apartment even if it's just to go across the street. Turn off lights in the bedroom when you leave and just ask if you have any questions.
Lee is a warm and gracious host who goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The room is clean and comfortable, with clean sheets, towels, and the requisite bathroom amenities (small bottles of shampoo and lotion). The dogs are friendly and quiet. And Lee, a former restaurant chef, makes a great breakfast that is a great start to the day.
This room was just as described. There was enough space for two people, the bed was comfortable, and the area in Manhattan is certainly prime. Can't get much better than 8th ave and 30th street!
P.S. - The dogs are super sweet!
This property was ideally located for the tradeshow I was attending at the Javits Center. Lee was a very good host and I would certainly return.
Lee was very helpful and responsive to any questions I had. He opened his apartment to my wife and myself.
The apartment is very well situated in the middle of everything and close to many subway stations (I do recommend city bike, though). The room is comfy and you can not hear the street from there (to be fair, the air-conditioning makes a good job at covering anything with white noise anyway).
Lee is a great host, helpful, available, easy going and courtly.
New York and new Yorkers are wonderful!
Lee was easy to communicate with and very friendly, as were his two cute dogs. The room itself is clean and has a good firm bed. The location is perfect for access to midtown, transportation and various touristy spots. This is an ideal spot if you're just looking for a place to sleep. But if you're looking for a place to spend a lot of time in, I don't know that this would be the most ideal spot.
Lee was a really friendly and hospitable host. The private room was very quiet and cleaned. He provided me with ample linens and offered coffee and breakfast to me every morning I was there. Belle and Dez are absolutely adorable and friendly as well. And you can't ask for a better location. See you soon Lee!
