---Modern SF Apartment---
The apartment is a 1 Bedroom apartment with livingroom and full kitchen and bathroom. Looking to rent out living room that can accommodate up to 2 people on a new queen size pull out sofa bed. Linens and blankets will be provided. The Living room is private with it's own door. But during early evenings I like to relax a bit after work on weekdays (on weekends as well) and watch some Netflix and cooking dinner, that's why the apartment is listed as a shared room. Closet in living room can be used for your personal items. Hardwood floors throughout the apartment. There's full laundry in the basement (laundry card operated - $1.75 to wash and $1.25 to dry. I have detergent that you can use).

Guest should expect to have the place to themselves during the day time as I will be at work. I do occasionally work at home on Fridays and weekends. I'm very accommodating, just ask and don't worry about anything.

---Location---
This great modern centralized apartment is in the middle of San Francisco. The apartment is right next to popular areas such as San Francisco City Hall (1 block away), Hayes Valley (3 blocks away) and Japantown (7 blocks away). I'm a former chef and foodie so I can definitely point you to the right restaurant during your stay.

The apartment is also a few minutes walk from the San Francisco Symphony Hall, San Francisco Opera and the Asian Art Museum.

---Public Transportation---
The apartment is also minutes from all major bus and subway stations. From Muni bus lines, underground Muni lines to BART lines. All within walking distance. You can get to the Financial District and Union Square in 15 mins by the way of public transportation.

---Quiet and Clean---
The apartment building is over 100 years old, 75 units and 4 levels. I'm on the 4th level so there's no noise coming from other neighbors in the building. The building is fairly quiet, but it is located on 2 fairly busy streets so it can get a be noisy during the day with the windows open.

I'm pretty tidy, clean and organized. But don't worry, i'm not a crazy cleaner. I just like to keep it homey and clean for everyone.

---Other Notes---
The building does not have covered parking but street parking is available in the neighborhood. I can also recommend a few secure parking garages in the neighborhood.

Think this is great place? I certainly do. Send me a message and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Thanks!
Eddie

  • This was my first time using Airbnb but Edward made it easy and simple. Even before my stay, he was quick to respond to any questions I had. He had a friend initially meet me at his apartment (as he was at work) to show me around and give me the keys. The apartment is very centrally located as you can walk or take public transportation to places in SF. The description of the apartment is very very accurate (no surprises!) Edward was a great host - he's very knowledgeable about the city. He's also nice to chat with - friendly but gave me space too.

  • I had a good experience roomating with Eddie; the apartment is super convenient too.

  • Eddie's apartment was just next to the City Hall which was very convenient. But it was noisy at midnights. Besides, I am not so used to sleeping on such a soft couch bed. Eddie was nice and helpful. He keeps the apartment clean and tidy.

  • Hard to beat this one if you're on foot: it's a short walk to public transit on Market St. and some great restaurants in Hayes Valley. Over the course of two weeks, Edward didn't once stray into the living room at night (there's also a door), so you'll have plenty of privacy. Ask him for coffee advice and poke through his library.

  • Lovely little space, clean and the sofa bed made for a comfortable stay! Thanks for having us :)

  • Living with Eddie was awesome! This was my first time in San Francisco and Eddie was the perfect host - he had a great knowledge of all the cool cafes and restaurants in the area as well being very welcoming and easy going. The house itself is in a great location, smack in the middle of the civic center, a brisk 20 minute walk to great spots such as the mission, haight ashbury and the shopping districts - or the BART station is 5 minutes away. Overall a fantastic experience!

  • Edward provided a great place for a San Francisco vacation. Traveling by myself, the apartment was plenty big enough. Edward was helpful in pointing me towards some great places to eat and hang out, and beyond that, he was just a very nice guy. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to San Francisco.

  • San Francisco is beautiful, thank Edward that we really have a good time there. He gave us many good suggestions. By the way there was a problem with the door of restroom.

  • I spent eight nights at Edward's apartment and even though I was renting his living room, I felt comfortable staying there. Edward is really friendly and made me feel welcome at all times. He is also very good at giving advice as to where to go around his place (restaurants, bars..). The area is safe and very nice to explore, day and night! You also have access to major bus lines, so it's really convenient. As for the apartment itself, I have to say I liked the building a lot, but you have to make sure to bring earplugs if you want to get a good night of sleep (you can hear the cars and street noise like if you were outside). The room is big and clean, but you have to close the bed every morning as it is also the couch. For me, it was not a problem. All in all, I would recommend this place mostly to young people who travel alone and want to stay away from the hostels!

About
Young professional working at an internet start-up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm a quiet and outgoing person. Love to meet new people and tell people about the great hidden gems of San Francisco. I'm a former professional chef, so i know alot of the great local restaurants, cheap or posh, any restaurant to fit your budget. I have alot of suggestions. I love to travel myself, i've recently been to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Shanghai. But have also traveled most of Western Europe (Italy, France, England...et). I'm a very accommodating host, just ask and I will try my best to have it for you. I will respect your space while you are staying here and I expect the same of my guests. My life motto is never say no and always try things at least once. :-)
