---Modern SF Apartment---
The apartment is a 1 Bedroom apartment with livingroom and full kitchen and bathroom. Looking to rent out living room that can accommodate up to 2 people on a new queen size pull out sofa bed. Linens and blankets will be provided. The Living room is private with it's own door. But during early evenings I like to relax a bit after work on weekdays (on weekends as well) and watch some Netflix and cooking dinner, that's why the apartment is listed as a shared room. Closet in living room can be used for your personal items. Hardwood floors throughout the apartment. There's full laundry in the basement (laundry card operated - $1.75 to wash and $1.25 to dry. I have detergent that you can use).
Guest should expect to have the place to themselves during the day time as I will be at work. I do occasionally work at home on Fridays and weekends. I'm very accommodating, just ask and don't worry about anything.
This great modern centralized apartment is in the middle of San Francisco. The apartment is right next to popular areas such as San Francisco City Hall (1 block away), Hayes Valley (3 blocks away) and Japantown (7 blocks away). I'm a former chef and foodie so I can definitely point you to the right restaurant during your stay.
The apartment is also a few minutes walk from the San Francisco Symphony Hall, San Francisco Opera and the Asian Art Museum.
The apartment is also minutes from all major bus and subway stations. From Muni bus lines, underground Muni lines to BART lines. All within walking distance. You can get to the Financial District and Union Square in 15 mins by the way of public transportation.
---Quiet and Clean---
The apartment building is over 100 years old, 75 units and 4 levels. I'm on the 4th level so there's no noise coming from other neighbors in the building. The building is fairly quiet, but it is located on 2 fairly busy streets so it can get a be noisy during the day with the windows open.
I'm pretty tidy, clean and organized. But don't worry, i'm not a crazy cleaner. I just like to keep it homey and clean for everyone.
The building does not have covered parking but street parking is available in the neighborhood. I can also recommend a few secure parking garages in the neighborhood.
Think this is great place? I certainly do. Send me a message and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Yes, it is extremely close to all forms of public transit that San Francisco has to offer. The apartment is minutes from all major bus and subway stations. From Muni bus lines, underground Muni lines to BART lines. All within walking distance. You can get to the Financial District and Union Square in 15 mins by the way of public transportation.
- No overnight guests
- No smoking
- Asian household, so no shoes inside the apartment
- Geeks and computer gurus are welcomed
- Be respectful of the items in the apartment
- If you use the kitchen, please clean up anything pots and pans and place dirty dishes in the dish washer.
- Please keep the living room usable during the day while you are not sleeping. So folding your blanket and sheets and put them in the closet. Move the airbed to the corner of the room. I would still like to use the living room to unwind after work for a short bit and watch some TV. Much appreciated!
Edward was a welcoming and accommodating host. My friend and I were in town for work and apartment searching. This was an ideal location and there was plenty of privacy. Although you have to walk through the living room to get to the kitchen, there is a door that separates the bedroom and bathroom which allows for nice separation. There's full use of the kitchen and plenty of space in the living room. If you're a light sleeper bring an eye mask. The room is bright in the morning!
Thanks for a nice stay!
Edward was a great host! This being my first airbnb booking he made it very easy by answering any questions right away either on text or email. My best friend from Oahu was visiting for my birthday so I decided to get her a room in the city. I thought it was a private room, but she stayed on the couch which pulled out into a bed. At first she felt a bit uncomfortable being in the living room, but nonetheless felt at home after meeting Edward who was helpful in getting her situated. Although she didn't meet him till the second day. She stayed for 5 days. He was hardly home, which was nice for her since she was staying in the living room. Every evening we came back to Edwards he was watching tv on the couch; which was her bed. She didn't mind, but I felt it was a bit rude since it clearly stated, 'private room' on the posting. Also, it was her bed. Nonetheless he was a quiet, and great host. Thanks for the first airbnb experience, Edward.
Staying at his place let me go around easily. Since I don't have driver's license of US, the easy access to the public transportations was really valuable. There are so many buses running by the place. With 7days free pass of Muni, I could go to almost wherever I wanted to go inside the city.
Second point is that he respected my privacy. As written in description, I sleeped in the dinning room but during the stay I was never bothered.
So, this is a place I will recommend to my friends.
Came with my wife for a workshop, stayed in the living room that Edward set up for guests.
We appreciated Edward's extra efforts to make sure our stay was comfortable. Most notably, he avoided passing through the room in which we were staying when we were in the apartment, and allowed us full use of the kitchen (which was very well equipped).
If you're staying, I'd recommend earplugs (apartment is close to a busy intersection) and eye mask. Otherwise, you're very well taken care of in the apartment.
We had a great time in San Francisco. Edward was a great host, allowing for very flexible check in and out times. We were told of some great local places to grab a meal that we might otherwise not have found. This is a shared room (you are sleeping in the living room) but Edward made sure we had enough privacy during our stay. Overall a great place to stay while visiting San Francisco for a short period of time. Thanks.
This was actually my first time ever using Airbnb and was little bit skeptical of how the turn out will be. Hotels at this point was not reasonable for the price.
With that said, my fiance and I stayed at Edwards place for 5days (December 8-12). It was an apartment complex where I was given a keyfob to open the front door and to his home. We both stayed in Edward's living room that connects to the kitchen. The living room actually has a door that closes but does not lock. The apartment was very close to most of the general areas that we visited. A bus stop was right in front of the building, but there is no street parking around the streets.
My fiance and I both slept on a pull out coach. You were allowed to use his kitchen whenever. The bathroom door does not lock but closes. The living room does not have a clothing rack for you to place your clothes. There is a tv that you can use to watch netflix. Wifi is free and there is a laundry room in the basement that cost $1.25 a load. When we decided to leave the apartment, the pull out bed was made back into a sofa.
All in all it was a great experience where Edward was a great host where he gave lots of detail places to try in San Francisco and how to take the public transportation.
Thank again Edward!
My wife and I stayed couple days before we found apartment in San Francisco. As titled on listing this is living room but Edward gave us privacy. We walked to Market Street without problem. Parking could be issue, there are some street spots but I recommend you to don't park your car there. We got ticket for parking there because of street cleaning times.
Sorry that you got a ticket! Yes, parking is always a challenge around my apartment. I do not recommend my guests to have cars, if they do, i recommend that they park in the garages near by. Which probably explains why I never owned a car while living in San Francisco.
I hope you are happy at your new location. Good luck on your studies!

I'm a very accommodating host, just ask and I will try my best to have it for you. I will respect your space while you are staying here and I expect the same of my guests.
