GUEST ACTIVITIES & GUIDELINES:

The SEASONAL (April - Oct) SWIMMING POOL is located inside the plexiglass SOLARIUM in the back gardens between the seasonal pond, lawn and back cliff. Feel free to use a pool towel inside the "towel" bin near the pool and the pool toys in the pool toys bin below it. Please return the toys to the bin after use. Feel free to use the floating blue and white net lounges inside the solarium for the ultimate relaxation when floating in the pool! The solarium doors are delicate. In the warmest months, feel free to keep the doors open while you are using the pool (if it is too warm for your taste), then close the delicate doors when you are done.

POOL RULES: POOL HOURS are 7 am until 9 pm. Please be quiet if you sense that someone may be sleeping or resting in the Treehouse tucked into the cliff above the pool. The pool is shared, though it is extremely rare to encounter another guest inside it. Thank you for putting any pool toys back after each use. For safety, NO alcohol or glass by the pool please. CHILDREN must be supervised. Kindly ensure you and the KIDS USE the SHOWER and TOILET before entering the pool. The POOL BATHROOM is located inside the back ground level door of the house next to the washer and dryer. Please feel free to use the strainer to clean any ant (you may save a life) or leaf from the top of the pool. The pool is cleaned daily. You are welcome to let us know when you would like to use the pool so that we can have it sparkling and ready for you at your most optimal time.

The TRAMPOLINE is available for a maximum of two guests at one time. Please remove your shoes. Please feel free to sweep the trampoline if there is any debris on it. The trampoline is daily, though sometimes leaves fall again within hours from the trees above it.

The outdoor HOT TUB is not available to guests.

TRAILS: The closest trail is right outside your door. Look for the "Trail" sign next the retreat's only rv. It is surrounded by vegetation has a beautiful tree painted on it. Walk along as the trail as it hugs the cliff to your left. After 200 yards, turn right at the dirt road-like trail that is quickly being overcome by vegetation. It leads to the creek 200 yards further along and into the surrounding Granite Gardens Trail system.

WHITE SPOT TRAILS: When you see a map on a post, that means there is a White Spot Trail up behind it. White Spot Trails are steeper rather than flat trails below. They offer magnificent views! Rather than traditional dirt trails, White Spot Trails are often marked by white spots about the size of an apple painted on the boulders about 20 feet apart from each other. Walk up the trail. Be sure to bring a camera because there are great photographic opportunities high up along the way. There two short White Spot loop trails.

MORE TRAILS: The PEAVINE TRAIL is Prescott's most famous and celebrated trail. It's about a half mile (.7 kilometers) from the Airbnb. To access the trail by foot or bicycle, at the end of the driveway, turn right out of the retreat. At the end of short Lake Fork Rd, turn left. Turn right at the stop sign. Go up the hill. From the paved road, right at the curve, veer left at the string of mail boxes on the left near the dirt road with "No Trespassing" signs. Go 200 yards along that dirt road, then turn left at the T-intersection. Proceed up that rougher dirt road for 200 yards until you arrive at four dark red or rusted metal poles that mark the cross-section with celebrated Peavine Trail. It's a former rail road track converted into a raised flat wide two-lane dirt trail marked by dark red metal poles at the entrance. Turn left to head north toward Chino Valley or Prescott Valley. Or, turn right to the wild east side of Watson Lake which is about a mile along the trail. Beyond the first view of the lake, keep going to see more expansive views of Watson Lake. It's a pleasure to ride bicycles all the way around the lake. To the dock and back to the Airbnb is about 8 miles, a very pleasant hour long ride with amazing scenery all along the way. Athletes may also enjoy the many miles of more rugged, slender side trails on both sides of the Peavine Trail.

PLEASE READ YOUR WELCOMING BOOK below your key FOR MORE INFORMATION about restaurants, activities and distances.

Other things to note
Because Heaven on Earth Retreat also serves as a wildlife sanctuary, it is entirely smoke free, drug free, and pet free (and service animal free) so as not to disturb the abundant wildlife and or make ill your caretaking, house-cleaning resident hosts who are allergic to dogs and cats.

You may encounter javelina, lizards, deer, antelope, raccoons, coyotes, foxes, ring-tailed cats, roadrunners, hawks, bald eagles, crickets, ants, snakes, mosquitoes, spiders and other exotic insects inside and outside your Airbnb. We have taken all the precautions possible to dissuade and remove them from indoors without using toxic fumigants or pesticides. Please understand that if you do encounter any kind of wildlife of any size in this spectacular retreat set in nature surrounded by awe-inspiring scenery, any visitor from the surrounding wilderness is not grounds for a refund.

Cozily situated beneath towering trees in a serene wildlife sanctuary, the retreat-like premises features a shared HILLTOP DOME with yoga mats, lovely musical instruments for couples and kids, plus blankets and cushions ideal for meditation, relaxation, reading and siestas. It is rare to encounter anyone else in the delightful Dome. To access the Dome, please respect other Airbnb Guests who may be staying in the Cave Castle by quietly walking up the steps to the Dome without hesitating on any of the Cave Castle's multiple decks along the way. Thank you.

The Dome's door can sometimes be sticky, though it is never locked. Feel free to keep open the door, round windows and large rectangular flaps or keep them closed according to your preference for your optimal warmth or coolness.

If you choose to move the Dome's cushions circled around the colorful round wool rug or move any yoga mats rolled or blankets folded on the shelves, please return them to keep the dome neatly and tidily for everyone's maximum enjoyment.

If during cooler months, you use the Dome's flame-flickering electric wood stove, please turn it off when done.

If you make tea in the Dome, please wash your cup, return it to the Dome and kindly restock with more tea bags from your Airbnb kitchen. Thank you! :)

Feel free to safely enjoy the flagstone-rimmed naturally solar-heated Swimming Pool inside the Solarium that is shared though you will only very rarely find someone else in it. The lawns are organic and even edible with awe-inspiring cliff and forest views surrounding them.

A seasonal stream flows through the premises into a forest with a seasonal garden pond complete with a small wild island surrounded by trees and sheer canyon walls that flow with waterfalls after each heavy rain. Please take care to not get too close to the quickly flowing stream during heavy rains.

The panoramic views from above Magnificent Watson Lake are especially colorful before sunset. The best viewpoint is near the Hilltop Ramada overlooking the lake inside Watson Lake Park. It can be reached via hiking, bicycling or most easily by driving the 2 miles there in less than 5 minutes. Once inside Watson Lake Park, drive straight, passing the meadow on your left and swing sets on your right. Then drive straight up the hill with restrooms on your left. At the top curve around and park at the far edge of the parking lot overlooking the lake near the ramada to your left. Walk 100 feet down toward the cliffs of the lake for the best views and to most easily access miles of lakeside trails.

Just ask us about the fleet of small inflatable boats (only $30 per inflatable kayak or paddleboard for a full day) and FREE bicycles available for your enjoyment. Hiking and biking trails surround this Airbnb in Heaven on Earth Retreat. The surrounding granite cliffs make this a rock climber's paradise where hundreds of bolted climbs of all levels await both experienced and novice rock climbers. Local rock climbing guides can be easily hired by looking on line.

Ideal for getaways in nature, personal retreats, romancing, popping the "Will you marry me?" question, birthdays, anniversaries, mini-weddings, family reunions, surprises, writer's retreats, and doing absolutely nothing. Ideal for hiking, bicycling, rock climbing, bird watching, relaxing, resting, recovering from excess work, sunbathing, hammock naps, seasonally swimming, yoga on the lawn, dome and decks, dining on the decks, meditation in the various secret gardens, dome and treehouse, spectacular sunrises & sunsets, playing acoustic music, indoor & outdoor dining, stargazing, poetry and songwriting, and soaking in the silence and sunshine.

This sanctuary borders a seasonal pond/marsh/meadow and tiny granite sand beach often visited by nesting ducks, migratory birds, bobcats, mountain lions, foxes, coyotes, raccoons, owls, lizards, frogs and toads. Magnificent Watson Lake is just over two miles away by spectacular foot trails, bicycle paths or most easily by paved roads.

Watson Lake is a peaceful no-wake motor-free lake ideal for kayaking and paddle boarding. The closest of Prescott's six lakes, much of Watson is surrounded by spectacular granite cliffs with more than a dozen rocky islands which are sometimes visited by dozens of water birds at a time.

Your Airbnb is in Heaven on Earth Retreat, situated about 300 yards from a woodsy stream that winds beneath towering trees. The retreat is a short bike ride to many miles of Prescott's finest hiking & cycling trails including the famous Peavine Trail system which leads north to Chino Valley and Prescott Valley through stunning scenery as well as south through more jaw-dropping scenery to surreal Watson Lake. The more fit and adventurous can enjoy the spectacular 8 mile loop bike ride with our free manual bicycles around Watson Lake.
