Our 2 rooms are spacious and comfortable and have a relaxed feeling close to the wonderful Presidents Park for a walk along the Werribee River, guests enjoy a large kitchen that has everything it in that a chef would want and close to transport.
Our property is a little unique given that we have a completely edible garden, we have our own chickens, from which we get fresh eggs from each day and we love to cook and there's not much better than fresh eggs
Our House is nearly 3 years old, it has 4 bedrooms, of which we have two for hire , there is a rumpus/games room, a large family meals and kitchen area that overlooks our organic edible garden. We have a sustainable property that provides all of our vegetable and herb requirements all year round. We have two bathrooms and the house is very modern.
The part of the house that has the two rooms is all for the guests the toilet, and bathroom is not shard the laundry is but there is only two permanent residents in the house so it is next to always available
Interaction with Guests
You can as much or as little interaction with us as you like we are happy to join you or you with us at mealtime , have a chat or what ever you like, we will always make you feel welcome.
I love how close we are to Residents park it is within a short walk from our place and it has so much to offer, from the kids adventure playground to a great River walk to the Lake it is all fantastic.
There is a bus 6 doors down that takes you to Werribee Railway Station, or to Werribee Plaza.
You can also get a gull sky bus from Melbourne airport to Werribee for $20.00
Other Things to Note
There is a shuttle bus that goes to Geelong, and it stops at Werribee I recall it costs $20 so much cheaper than using a taxi and quicker than public transport.
We expect people use a common sense approach here regarding behavior whilst staying with us, we will not put up with loud argumentative people that like to yell and or fight with their partner we expect them to take that elsewhere. We also expect people to respect our Home and surrounding garden and treat it is their own or as they would have someone treat their own home. We are pretty relaxed regarding most things and are accommodating but don't like our kindness abused.
I stayed with Craig and Kerry for little over 2 months, even though my initial plan was to stay there only for a week. The stay couldn't have been more comfortable. Though I have a reserved personality I felt welcome and I never felt like a guest, it was as if I have been staying there for years. As Craig mentions the house is located in a very quite and beautiful suburb with open spaces everywhere, and all amenities are available at the Werribee station which is not far. Craig has a backyard garden and a barbecue- which i was allowed to use. Also, there are 2 dogs who are great company.
There's a lovely smell of lavendar just before the home's entrance. Peaceful neighborhood. House is quite big, rooms and bathrooms are clean and of good sizes. Craig is very helpful and his doggies are friendly and disciplined. His chickens are MUST SEE. I have never seen such beautiful chickens! Even the black cat (I think it's the neighbor's) loves watching them too!
Staying with Craig was great! He's really easy to get along with and it turns out we had a few things in common :) Really quite place where you can keep to yourself, with your bedroom, shower and bathroom all down the same hallway at the back of the house.
The big shower, comfy bed and Craig's home-grown produce are all well-worth it bonuses too :)
Following my previous positive review, I extended my stay a further three nights - that probably says it all. Lovely hosts.
Craig was a wonderful host. So easy to talk with and he has an amazing edible garden. His wife Kerry was also very welcoming although I didn't see her as often she was busy with a charity event. A very nice experience it was like staying with old friends.
Craig is a lovely bloke, very welcoming and a great chat. The house has an amazing garden, is in a nice, quiet spot and the room was comfortable and very good value. I even got to try some home-grown eggs for breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
Had a great stay at Craig's. Both Kerry and Craig were very nice people and generous hosts. Always had a friendly word to say, while letting me do my own thing when I wanted. The room was always warm and comfortable, the bathroom clean. I had full access to the kitchen and some space in the fridge which made things easy. It was also generally very quiet. The access to the house was well planned, which is a plus since I had a very different schedule from my hosts. I grew quite fond of the cute dogs and the chickens, even though I'm generally not a very animal person. The house is very close to the bus stop and a few stops from the station. A long walk though, if you miss the bus. There are parks and other interesting places in Werribee. I particularly enjoyed the Werribee village with its shops and good cafes. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Our property is a little unique given that we have a completely edible garden, we have our own chickens, from which we get fresh eggs from each day, and for those guests that like Bacon and eggs for Breakfast? Have we got a treat for you! There is nothing like fresh eggs and for that matter fresh anything that you have grown yourself so if you want us to make you a lunch or Dinner? let us know we will help you out. Craig is a bit of a frustrated Chef, he would like to think that he is a chef, whilst he isn't but he is not bad in the Kitchen all the same. Sheesh he even makes his own cheese! And of course with our edible garden he is always taking someone out there to tell them or show them something.
