About this listing
In the middle of the vibrant and historic Haight Ashbury district, a peaceful and relaxing space that you will feel at home in.
Perfect for a couple, this one bedroom apartment on the second floor boasts abundant natural light, charming Edwardian details such as stained-glass windows, and a gas pot-belly stove to keep you toasty on chilly days. The eat-in kitchen is outfitted with modern appliances and equipped with everything you'll need. The apartment is exclusively for guests, not used as a home, so you will find it sparsely decorated and free of clutter. Television with basic channels is also internet ready so you can watch Hulu, Netflix or Amazon or even hook up your laptop. If you're not too busy sightseeing, that is! There's plenty to see without going far.
"The Haight," as the locals call it, is a popular destination because of the unique shops and restaurants on Haight Street, as well as the historical significance in the 60's movement. You'll find a fantastic local grocery store only a block away. Golden Gate Park, with museums, a botanical garden, and the Conservatory of Flowers, is only half a mile away. Why don't you hop on the bike and ride to the ocean? Bicycle, helmet and lock available upon request. If you'd rather travel by bus, you'll be pleased to learn that many buses stop at the corner. And it's only a ten minute ride to downtown San Francisco.
After a long day of sight-seeing, come back to this relaxing home-away-from-home.
Guest will have access to the entire apartment of course, as well as a laundry area in the basement.

My family lives in Alameda, just across the bay. I have lived in the area since 2002 and I think San Francisco is one of the nicest places in the world. I should know! Because I've lived in many countries growing up as a child and continue to travel widely as an adult. I think you will love it here too.
