We stayed with Luciana for 5 nights and really enjoyed our experience. She welcomed us at the parking place at Nocelle (what a drive up, wow!), helped us with our luggage and showed where to park for free. The cable car for luggage is perfect! She was very welcoming with a lemonade, some fruit and a homemade limoncello. Afterwards went to the room which was very decent and private, we even had a private terrace. The views are amazing! Simply the best. One night she and here family had dinner on the terrace above us. As they saw us and thought they were making noise they brought over some food, which was delicious! In fact there was no noise, but we enjoyed the food. The busservice down to Positano is good and neccesary as its to much to hike and parking is Positano is crazy. We recommend villa Sofia as it was so nice and the views were amazing! Great relaxing hideout to visit Positano and surroundings.
Luciana is a most remarkable, energetic, sharp and hospitable young woman! Her family's bed & breakfast is so unique. The building literally is built into the side of the mountain & it is was a memorable experience walking down the stone steps from the mountain road to the home as well as walking on the walkway connecting the mountain villages. We loved eating breakfast up on an elevated communal patio (the warm "cornetas",filled croissants, were so delicious!), walking down the 2000 steps to Positano, eating at a small restaurant in Nochelle as well an unforgettable dinner at a nearby family run restaurant "La Tagliata". The views from our private balcony down to Positano and the bay were breathtaking. Upon our arrival Luciana met us up on the road, placed our luggage on a cable car (similiar to a ski lift) escorted us down the mountain and welcomed us with her mamma's homemade "Lemoncello" drink and cookies. Our room was very clean and lovely. The on line fotos are accurate but cannot fully portray how warm & unique "Sofia"s Villa" is!...We are so happy that we brought home some of Sofia's Lemoncello for our kids and ourselves!
We are in our young 60's and quite active so this location (with 102 stairs from the road to the B&B, and walking on mountain trails) was not a problem for us but rather a welcomed delight. (A public bus also runs regularly down to Positano) but anyone not steady on their feet should carefully consider if this is an appropriate setting for them.
We had a good stay at Luciana's B&B. Luciana was very kind. The view of the terrace was amazing. The arrival was a bit complicated (maybe Luciana could write you the exact directions before you arrive, the GPS took us to the wrong place). Breakfast was okay. All in all we really enjoyed our stay!
There is an amazing view on the bay and Almalfi-coast!! Luciana helpt us to get to the villa (suitcase by cable!!) and gives us good information about the location, restaurants and trips. The reataurant which we choose came to pick us up and bring back after dinner!
This place has gorgeous views in a the small, quiet town of Nocelle on the Amalfi coast, just north of Positano. Our room was really small but we had a huge terrace and the views were unbelievable. Luciana was very communicative via air bnb app because there was a pluming issue in the room we were originally planned to stay in.
W recommend getting a ride in the car for 35 euro from her brother if he's available from Sorrento into the villa because it could be hard to find on your own, and he's really fun and gave us a great food recommendation (Da Constantina his cousins restaurant in Positano).
I would say the downsides were no AC and issues with water pressure and temperature in the shower and sink. It's an old building and very rustic, so if that's what you're into, you'll love it! Overall we had a great time :)
The most amazing view with the most welcoming and graceful host ! Luciana and her family were amazing and attentive. I arrived earlier than check in and she made me an amazing salad from their garden and some home made limoncello. Perfect location if you want to be near the hustle and bustle of Positano but far from all the tourist. You can walk the Path of Gods from here and take a quick bus to the beach. Best place!
If you want great views of the Amalfi Coast for a good price, this is the place! Luciana and her family are very welcoming and will make sure you know everything you need to know about the Amalfi Coast and its surroundings. Breakfast is good - continental and served on a terrace overlooking the cliff. The place is slightly difficult to get to (don't trust google maps) so make sure to ask Luciana for specific instructions. There is a bus that will take you up and down the mountain to Positano. Recommend to stay here if you have a car so you can explore the coast easily.
