  • We had a great stay at the Hummingbird Lodge. Sue and Ken were easy to communicate with regarding our arrival time and were extremely gracious. The house was pleasant, clean, warm and inviting, and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was beautiful and delicious. I highly recommend staying with Ken and Sue--I know I'll be back next time I visit the North Country.

  • I booked a room with Ken and Sue at a very short notice because I couldn't find a hotel room in the area. I came to Postdam to watch my son play basketball games against St. Lawrence and Clarkson.

Why did I even look at hotels?! This was so much better! The room was perfectly clean, the bathroom as well. The bed was comfortable. Internet was fast and stable. I played with the dogs, Maya and Tia if I remember correctly, and that was wonderful. Chatting with Ken and Sue over breakfast was very pleasant and the breakfast was wonderful. Sue has passion for cooking and it shows. My second morning, right before the breakfast, a fiery red cardinal landed on the tree branch just as we were talking about birds. As we were having breakfast a rabbit hopped out of the woods and played in the back yard. It was so pristine.

Next year, when I come to see two more games, I won't even be looking for a hotel room, I'll try book this first.

Thank you Sue and Ken for your hospitality!

  • We stayed with Ken and Sue over the St. Lawrence Family weekend and were provided with a great home cooked breakfast and comfortable accomodations. Ken and Sue were gracious hosts and we enjoyed our stay. We plan on contacting them in the furure when visiting Saint Lawrence.

    October 2013
  • We had an excellent time. Easy to find location, Ken & Sue were very welcoming in a really nice, clean home. Breakfast was great with a good combination of choices.
We ate on the screened-in portion of the front porch overlooking their property while watching the many hummingbirds come to the feeder. And I thought Hummingbird Lodge was just a cute name - wrong.
Also found out what a weather stick is - I now have one in my backyard.
Queen-sized was very comfortable. That's very important for us. We had a good night's sleep.

    August 2013
  • cozy house, nice rooms and great conversation - a tasty breakfast as well!

We were traveling with our dog and they made it easy and worry free for us.
