It’s Maine living at its finest, ALL year long! Newly renovated, this beautiful log home is located in the private and quiet mountains of Hartford, Maine. It’s the perfect place to relax, unwind or recharge! Or, you may prefer the nature that surrounds this 80-acre wooded property, including nearby lakes, ATV and snowmobile trails. A little over an hour from Portland and a short drive to nearby ski mountains like Sugarloaf, Sunday River and Saddleback there are plenty of options to enjoy.

The space
There is approximately one acre of flat/cleared property that is suitable to host a family reunion or wedding, the breath-taking views will certainly leave a lasting impression. Lawn games such as corn hole, badminton, volleyball and croquet are welcome.

Our home has a large enclosed deck with Adirondack chairs for use in the spring, summer and fall. The deck is accessible from the kitchen or master bedroom. Enjoy this peaceful space as the sun sets over the mountains.

Other amenities include:
- Large 70'' TV in living room where you can enjoy your favorite sports, reality TV shows, etc.
- Master bedroom and one upstairs bedroom (queen bed) is equipped with a 42" TV.
- Enjoy the cozy wood burning stove on a winters cold day, wood supplied.
- The downstairs is a great space to retreat if you're looking for a quiet area to read or simply enjoy the view. Complete with couch, love seat, coffee table and end table. Wonderful lighting with a open design. A queen air mattress is available for use should the kids want to camp out --- inside of the house. The radiant heated floors will keep this area nice warm, even on a snowy day.
- If you enjoy grilling steaks, chicken or lobster -- enjoy the new Weber gas grill on the deck.

Hartford Maine, incorporated on June 13, 1798. The towns name is after Hartford, CT, which itself is named for Hartford, England.

Fun facts about this property:

- At one point, this property was located at the center of Hartford (which was the original Main Street). It was later relocated to what we know today as downtown Hartford.
- The rock wall property lines remain in-tact and are a special part of the history.
- This home was built by hand and with a lot of love -- the log home structure, cabinets, doors, etc.. all came from the trees grown on the property. A sawmill was set up onsite, it took 2 years to complete the build.

Nearby Lakes:
- Just minutes away, Lake Anasagunticook on Main Street (Route 140) is Northern Hartford.
- Bear Pond is located on the South end, near Route 219 and is the site of seasonal camps and boating for residents and summer visitors.
