The apartment we booked in to the aircon wasn't working when we arrived so we were upgraded at no extra cost to the 2 bedroom, which was much mush more beautiful. I am actually so grateful, I wouldn't have been happy in the industrial room as I am used to sumptuous bali travel! The hip chic 2 bedroom was fantastic. The staff were accommodating and the owner who I met, very kind, generous and helpful. Note the bath will not fill up all the way with hot hot water, so it is more like a luke warm pool. The bath is as big as a lap pool almost! Not really but very oversized and lovely to get into after a really hot muggy day. Not something you would want to do because of the water temp on a rainy cooler day- but there really isn't many of those in Bali! Note there is also no top sheet on the bed, I also often travel with my own, b/c I am a sheet princess, so if you would like one make a request. I didn't eat the breakfast, much prefer to do that at cafe's in ubud. We were happy and would go again, although we would have to rent the 2 bedder because we much prefer it and financially there may be better deals in other villas.
Jess replied very promptly and gave us pointers to good eateries around Ubud.. Very helpful! Unique villa design, unobstructed 16m beautiful and very relaxing view and ambiance... Will recommend and come back!
Seriously, one of the most beautiful and relaxing places on earth - for a very reasonable price!
Very peaceful and quiet, far away from the busy streets of Ubud. Make sure to get a scooter or driver if you want to go to "downtown" Ubud for dinner, it's too far to walk.
I wanted to love this place, but it was one problem after another. When I checked in, I was told that I had to stay in a different room than the one I booked because they were full. When I said that wasn't going to work, the front desk guy told me to wait 10 minutes. It ended up being an hour and during that time he was cleaning my room.
There are three flights of stairs up and down to the room, so be prepared for a lot of walking.
The bedding was dirty and they don't use a top sheet, so your skin is up against a blanker.
The Internet doesn't work reliably. On the last night, I had to move rooms to even get the Internet.
I arrived back late one night to discover the power was off. The front desk person left for 15 minutes on his scooter and came back and it was working.
The breakfast is odd. It's a choice between a few small things including a tuna sandwich.
The location is not close or walkable to Ubud center despite what I was told before booking. It would take more than an hour, walking through some sketchy areas, to get to Ubud center. It's a $5 ride each way and most drivers don't know where this location is.
Rooms are funky and the decor is cute, but the execution just isn't there.
Again, wanted to love it, but didn't.
Jesse was an amazing host and attends to ones every need. She offers help and assistance and very quick to respond. I did not feel so well and she made arrangements for me to get to a doctor. She even followed up to see how I was doing and shared great new places to visit. Some decent pizza just down the road and it gets delivered with no hassle to the room. In addition I was not completely satisfied with the one room and Jesse attended to it in no time to make sure my stay is comofrtable. A great experience all around. The staff were also kind to drop the scooter rented back in town as I left early the morning. Rooms @ Bali really takes care of their guests.
Room@Bali is a very sweet place with a fantastic view facing the same valley as the four seasons hotel does! We will definitely stay there again when we are in Ubud .
Due to some technical issues Jesse upgraded us to the Pool Villa. We got to see both of the rooms and they are both really awesome & unique. The views are superb as well.
Room@Bali is based next to the four-seasons where the prices are around $600 a night. In my opinion you get a way better deal staying in one of these unique rooms.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good!
The rooms are complete, there's enough food if you wanna cook yourself and there's enough space to play around :-)
We definitely like to come again Jesse!
Great view of the rice paddies and a very spacious room. Not within close walking distance to the center of ubud which is a bit of a knock. If you are looking for a secluded stay it can be a nice alternative, however. Especially given the close proximity to the Four Seasons and the Ayung River. The biggest issue was that there was no hot water in the room which prevented us from using the beautiful bath which had a view of the rice paddies. This was the case in the first room in which we stayed and the one we were moved to when we brought up the issue. Staff was very kind overall. As for the value, I think a more appropriate price for the stay would have been in the $50-$75 per night range. Our rating factors in the overall value we felt we received.
Absolutely loved this place. I have travelled alot around the world and yet was amazed by how beautiful the view was and about all the little details of the room. Be warned there are alot of stairs down to room but as long as you don't have any problems with that, you will find this place perfect.
