About this listing
Nice spacious apartment in the medieval centre of Deventer, including a complete kitchen and a big bathroom with a washing machine.
Hairdryer, ironing board, tv, radio is all there, as we had lots of people staying for a longer term.
And of course you will find basic needs like salt&pepper, coffee and tea in the kitchen-cupboard.
It is situated on the top floor of our house, with a nice view.
The sleeping and living area is not divided, to create more openness. The bed is a good "lits-jumeaux" or twin beds.
The red couch can be converted into an addtional bed, which sleeps well for people who are not too heavy. But remember: all beds are in the same space, so to enjoy yor stay here, you must really like each other!
The house, a former printshop, was almost completely rebuild in 2001, so everything is up-to-date.
You can lend our bikes or put your own bikes in the shed in the garden, and you're welcome to use the garden.
Our house is right in the middle of the old town with very nice shops and restaurants etc all around. And still quiet at night. Trainstation at a 7 minutes walk, to the river IJssel with its beautiful nature, it is less than 5 minutes walk.
Time of arrival will be set bij e-mail. Keys will be provided then and I or somebody else will let you in. Breakfast is not provided, nearby are nice places for that. But if you will, I can provide for something in your apartment.
I am a decorative painter and I have my atelier / working space on the ground floor of our house. I work there for my own projects and give classses on all sorts of decorative paintung, such as woodgraining and faux marbling, gilding, colorwashing, fresco or creating an antique-look. Our big white cat Jack likes to sit there, and look what people are doing.
In the big open kitchen downstairs we often have friends as I really like cooking for them. We like to read, so books are everywhere.
We like to stay in France, and when we are away, friends regularly stay in our house. They like the town, the really nice, quiet countryside nearby, and we are happy for them to stay.
