Mere 5 kilometers outside the city centre of Bergen, you will find this quiet and cosy apartment. Ride by the Light railway (tram) or by the bus to the city centre, it takes only 15 - 20 minutes. You can even ride a bike, takes you about 20 - 30 minutes depending how fit you are! The home (Troldhaugen, now museum) of the world famous classical composer Edvard Grieg is only 10-15 minutes walk away. It takes only about 15 - 20 minutes by taxi to the Bergen Airport (outside rush hour...).
The apartment has one bedroom with one double bed plus one single bed. In the livingroom there is a double sleeping sofa (sleeps 2). Alltogether the apartment may sleep 5 good friends or a family (ideal for 3 but 5 may work fine too...). If bringing a small child, a crib (babybed) is available but must be notified. Please state if the child is between 1 and 4 years of age. Once I had a large spanish family staying (total 7 guests including children).
The bathroom appears wonderful fresh and clean as it was completely refurbished in 2008. It has got heating cables under the floor tiles to keep you warm on your feet in the morning. The bathroom has got a glazed shower corner and a WC. The living room is made in an old fashioned style, with large roof windows. A fireplace may make it cosy at nights. A little balcony you will have too. Livingroom also has a kitchen in one end, with kitchensink, stove, fridge.
WiFi: Free wireless internet is included.
Own private entrance.
Free parking just outside the house on the local street.
The Bergen Airport is about 12 km away (15-20 minutes by taxi).
Fitness centre 50 meters away.

We received a very warm welcome, first by Elizabeth and later by Trond upon our late arrival at their beautiful and bright apartment. There were more than sufficient space for the 4 of us - nice bedroom, big bathroom, and cozy living/dinning area. We had a very restful 2-night stay before we flew home. Will definitely recommend Trond's apartment to any of our friends visiting Bergen. Thanks Eli and Trond for hosting us.
Had a great stay in Trond's lovely flat! Area was beautiful and peaceful. Easy access to light rail and groceries. Trond was full of great info about the city. Apartment was clean and comfy!
Very comfy home, good location near a tram station and free parking place if you have a car. The house is big, clean, nice bedroom and bathroom. Loved to stay there. I would recommend anyone to stay there.
We stayed here comfortably with 4 people, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Trond's apartment. It was impeccably clean and cozy. The neighborhood is beautiful, and Trond shared plenty of great tips about where to eat and what to do in Bergen. Highly recommended!
we enjoyed our stay. it's a cool space, with a lot of glazing and natural light in the living space (but not a lot of view), and a really pleasant sleeping loft. we spent a rainy day in Bergen, but enjoyed evenings staying in and cooking. the sleeping loft was really comfortable and quiet, and thankfully dark, with only the sound of birds from the outside.
the train to Bergen is close by and convenient, but is costly enough that you don't want to make a lot of trips. also, while the grocery store is literally next door, a train trip is required to any restaurant.
it's a bit of a navigational challenge to find, especially as our mapping software assumed we could drive on a pedestrian street, but Trond's directions worked.
we'd stay there again.
Trond was quick to respond to us and the apartment was really, really pretty. The area is fantastic (we walked to Grieg's house from there), and it is easy to get to by the Bybane. Highly recommended if you want a cozy place in a nice area, a little outside the city centre.
The apartment was as you see in the photos. It's in a suburban part of Bergen, so not much to do there, but the Bybanen (light rail train line) is a 10-minute walk from the rental. A trip into Bergen is about 20 minutes and costs about $5USD (31NOK each way or you can get a 24-hour pass for 81NOK). It's very clean and efficient. Gotta love Norway.
The apartment was quite large and had very peaceful, nice views. Trond and his family are right next door should you have any requests/questions. Communication with Trond was good. He always replied to emails within 24 hours.
The reservation was canceled 97 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Wonderful place to stay! Close to nature and thanks to the tram down the hill, only 15 mn to Bergen city centre. The apartment is part of a magnificent old house and got all the amenities you need. Trond is a very attentioned host, quick to answer to your questions and very helpful in providing useful info to make the best stay in Bergen. He was very kind to get us a baby crib as we were travelling with my little nephew and allowed us a late check-in at night. I strongly recommend his place if you go to Bergen!
Trond responded very quickly. Communication was nice and easy and the apartment was great! I would definetely recommend it.
