Instructions to the location were very clear, communication was great with host and the house location was beautiful;it is exactly as pictured. Carole is a great hostess-even had the fire lighting when we arrived, so thoughtful. The house is great and clean, and I would definitely stay here again.

The house is old but modernised and very clean. We had the use of three double rooms and our three children were very happy with it all. The kitchen is well equipped and Carole was happy to provide any extras we needed. The deer in the next field were lovely to look at and the location was perfect being so close to Dingle town, yet a little away from the hustle and bustle and noise.

We had a nice stay here. Carole was really friendly and was waiting in the house when we arrived. She sat down with us and gave a detailed run down on the house, up-keep and area, which was really helpful. The house itself is tucked away down a small lane just off the (relatively busy) Slea Head Drive road - cars are usually doing about 60mph. The trees and foliage in front of the house mask the sound, but also any view of the sea from the front. But we sat outside the front door with a drink in the morning/evening and were able to see a bit of sea, looking out over the field of deer. It was so so quiet and peaceful especially at night which was great. The electricity meter was something we felt let the stay down, although Carole assured us it's not a profit making addition, it didn't feel like your usual holiday home experience - at least not at the price of the rental. The house itself has tiles and wood floors which gave it a cosy feel, although it got a bit chilly later on. We didn't use the electric heaters. The wood burning stove in the evening was tricky at first to get going, but did keep us warm after an hour or so of blowing and prodding. Some people have mentioned previously that the house interior is dated, which I agree with but everything worked and it was spotlessly clean and tidy. The kitchen had very few utensils and pans, etc. which we struggled with as we cooked every day to keep costs down. But the oven was clean and worked really well. The best thing about the house is its location - just out of Dingle so quiet but not isolated. We filled 6 days with wonderful walks and beaches and food and rarely have to drive for more than 20mins at a time.

Very spacious - easily fits a group - great if you want to cook - taxis run all the time (5 minute ride about 10 Euros) to Dingle. Great value for the money. Cosy lounge space on the main floor and a separate dining room/sunroom. Be sure to contact Carole the day before to make meet-up arrangements! For those driving, she puts a sign at the beginning of the driveway which you'll need to keep an eye out for.

Carole was so lovely. She met us at the cottage after 9pm and went over the house and gave us helpful tips. She kept it brief as she could tell we were tired, but made sure we were aware of all the important details. The house was cozy and lovely. We met her and Tom by chance the following day and were lucky enough to help feed the deer, who are in a field just across from the house. They are absolutely stunning. What a special place in the world. We would love to go back.

I like to walk and I live in a beautiful part of Ireland where we have sea, mountains, streams and an abundance of wild flora which make for very pleasant and interesting places to walk. I look forward to seeing our guests enjoy the area, it's history, it's culture and all it has to offer.
