Really wonderful place in the heart of Roma. You will be pleasantly surprised at how nice the layout is of the room and the scale of the bathroom and amenities, and the location has St. Peter's right outside your ancient, picturesque windows. There are complimentary coffee and Italian pane breakfast cards which you'll appreciate, and complimentary espresso machine in the main hallway. The room by the way is 100% sound proof which means a great deal as Rome streets are very noisy into the wee hours!
I highly recommend this B&B and you'll find the gracious nature of the hosts a nice touch to your Roma holiday
It was a very pleasant stay in Rome thanks to Ma&De! The room was perfectly fine, exactly like on the photos, it was clean and comfortable. The contact with the landlords was always easy and very friendly. Thanks for letting us stay! I will recommend this place to all my friends and family!
Awesome hosts! Ma&De were great. The room was spectacular and gives out that Rome touch which is what we were looking for. Special kudos to Marilena. She patiently waited for us the night of our arrival and gave us suggestions on where the local eats are located. We appreciate very much what she did for us on our last day. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone!
Don't forget to grab you gelato as you walk in and out. We stayed for 3 nights and tasted A LOT of flavors from the gelato place.
Super convenient location to see the Vaticano Museum and Sistine Chapel. Constant amusement to see people standing in front of your B&B from all over the world waiting to eat The Old Bridge gelatto next store. We were impressed by how easy it was to get our breakfast at Zero Cafe and their building is very nicely remodeled. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom beautiful. Did finally eat at Pizzarium on our last day in Rome and it is the best high-end sna I've ever eaten. Considering how easy it is to get a cab, go to the metro, get a bus or see the vatican this has to be one of the best bang for the buck locations on airbnb. Very nice hostess who listened to our feedback.
Great location. Lovely room and great quality accomodation. Since we went for our honeymoon Ma&De had rose petals on the bed for our arrival. This was a lovely personal touch. The sheets and towels were perfectly clean and were changed after three days. The bins were emptied on a daily basis and fresh supplies of tea and coffee were put in our room.
Breakfast at Cafe Zero was very nice and the staff were friendly. Sadly budget restaurant meals were dissapointing in Rome so for the last few nights we decided to buy sliced pizza slices for take away from the shop around the corner and sat in the square to eat it. We were able to follow this up with a freshly made crepe or ice-cream from The Old Bridge ice-cream shop. The staff at all three establishments were very friendly. Watch out for queues of nuns and priests ordering large ice-creams.
We flew into Ciampino airport and took the local bus for 1.20 Euros to Anagnina metro station where we took line A to Ottaviano which is a 10 minute walk from the accomodation. The metro ticket costs 1.50 Euros.
On our first night we decided to walk to the Spanish Steps and through the cobbled streets towards the Trevi fountain. Seeing the city at night is lovely and we felt safe although we didn't carry bags with us.
We bought tickets to the Vatican Museum and the Colosseum online through the official websites and were able to skip the very long queues. From the Vatican museum you can see the appartment block.
The hosts were very helpful and we are planning to visit again, next time with my parents.
