We (Kristine and Ben) are now living in this beautiful home, and Sharon and Paul have left the Apartment in our capable hands. We are so looking forward to having as much fun with it as they had, and we look forward to welcoming guests. This is what they have written about us!
"Ben and Kristine are our great friends who will be taking over The Apartment Airbnb from us. As well as experienced travellers they are exceptional hosts, friendly, thoughtful and interesting. They know all there is to know about the beautiful Phillip Island having lived and worked on the Island for years. Some bits are important to us and we would ask you to observe these while in our home:
No smoking or use of candles.
Kitchenette is for the preparation of breakfast and light meals only. We can recommend the best cafe/restaurants on the Island if you ask.
Please only use the heating and evaporative cooling when necessary, and be sure to turn off when out and about, and snuggled up in bed.
Please do not move the heater from it's spot in the lounge room and do not put anything on top of it such as towels or clothes.
We like to recycle and conserve energy, so please keep those recyclable items separate from the rubbish, and please turn of all lights and appliances if not in use.
There is plenty of car parking space on the grassed area outside our gate, motor bikes can be left inside the gate by arrangement.
Wet gear/surf boards etc not to be bought inside apartment, there is plenty of room in the secure undercover veranda.
We will normally contact you a few days before you arrive to confirm your check-in time, if you are traveling and not contactable please contact us before you leave. We like to know what time to expect guests so we are sure to be home to welcome you.
Please remember that we may have other guests coming on the day you leave, so please observe the 10am check-out. If you ask, and we don't have other guests, we are really flexible with this time, but please ask first.
Thanks heaps and have a wonderful time!!
We stayed at Kristin and Ben's apartment for 3 nights. It is a really lovely space, private and separate from their house with bedroom, bathroom, lounge and kitchenette (sink, toaster, fridge). Kristin and Ben were very friendly and welcoming when we arrived and throughout our stay. Lots of recommendations and lovely extra touches!! Definitely recommend to stay here for a great time in Phillip Island.
Kristine and Ben's place is wonderful, and they were great hosts. The place is so relaxing and quiet and Kristine and Ben provide everything that you could possibly want. It's easy to get to and close to everything on the island. We would definitely recommend this place!
Absolutely fantastic place. Great people and Kristine went above and beyond to make our stay a special one. I would happily return and have recommended Kristine and Ben's place to friends. Cheers.
My partner and I found our stay at Kristine and Ben's place fantastic. The apartment was clean, centrally located and felt like a home away from home. Kristine was there to greet us, she showed us around the apartment and also give us a few handy hints on where to visit around the island. There was even a deliciously fresh out of the oven loaf of bread waiting for us, not to mention milk, juice and chocolates!! I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.
My husband and I had a great time. It was very nice to find two friendly faces when we arrived and left. The place was quiet and relaxing. I think it is bigger than what you see on the pictures and the privacy you get is a plus. We loved the homebaked bread Kristine made us and thanks to Ben now we now that marmite exists (sorry, we didn't have a clue). It is really relaxing to know that after a busy day walking, traveling and going around the island you can relax in a nice and cozy place. Thanks for everything!
We had a lovely and relaxing stay on the island in Kristine and Ben's apartment. All the necessaties were taken care of and the extra little details were such a nice touch - milk, juice and butter in the fridge, homemade bread and fruit for breakfast. Thanks so much for having us Kristine and Ben and making our stay on the island so quiet and relaxing!
We enjoyed our time staying at Kristine and Ben's apartment. Kristine was very helpful and we felt very welcome. Kristine is a good communicator and was great in assisting us with problem solving (i.e. the Christmas holiday traffic). It was also really handy having breakfast provisions provided by the host. The apartment surpassed our expectations (it was larger than we expected). We brought our bikes and enjoyed riding around the many bike paths on Phillip Island.
So you know a bit about us - Ben is from the UK and Kristine is Australian. We met while Kristine was traveling overseas, and have been happily married and settled in Australia for over 10 years. We both love bike riding and bush walks, good food and laughter.
Ben is a self employed computer technician, and also enjoys archery, watching the Formula One Grand Prix, and listening to a variety of music and audio books
Kristine is a Physiotherapist, author and cooking demonstrator. She loves anything to do with health and food, from cooking, to eating, to gardening, to reading, and she is very knowledgeable when it comes to living with food intolerances.
