The Space

Stunning Jugendstil apartment with high ceilings, wooden floors, and many beautiful original features. Includes fantastically kitted out kitchen, exercise room, and a cinema screening room with over 250 DVDs to chose from.

The main "Berliner" style bedroom (at the back of the apartment, self contained from the rest of the space) has an enormous 2m x 2m solid wood bed and huge en-suite with delightful yellow enamel bath and separate shower and a constant supply of powerful hot water (not always guaranteed in Berlin!)

You can rent the room or the whole apartment. Two sofas convert to very comfortable beds, and inflatable beds are also available for a maximum sleeping capacity of 6.

Transport links: A short walk, or one stop on the S-Bahn, or a direct bus from right outside to the Berlin ICC and Messe.
We're directly on the Ring S-Bahn line for the easiest access to all parts of Berlin.
And, for those of you coming by car, there is unreserved, free on-street parking directly in front of the apartment.

Freshly ground coffee, fresh pressed juice or smoothie and a continental-style breakfast available at no extra charge if I'm in the apartment at the same time as you.

Enjoy one of the most exciting capital cities in the world!

  • Great apartment and a great host!

  • Ben is a great host and his apartment is awsome! The communication and the organizational stuff were quick and easy. The apartment is large and tastefully furnished. I would definitely pick it for my next stay in Berlin.

  • Ben's appartment is really nice, huge and peaceful. We slep like babies.
The location is easy to find and very practical if you need to go to downdown.
Last but not least, Ben is very kind and relax. Every think goes smooth.
Hopefully we will be back in one year.

  • Ben was really welcoming and the flat is amazing. The cinema room is awesome! He has a king size bed where three people can sleep comfortably and an also comfortable air mattress. The sofa is very big, so one person can sleep there.
The flat is 30 min away from the city center but there is an SBahn stop within less than 5 min walk. The bus station is also reachable by walk and Tegel airport is 10 min away by car.

  • Ben's apartment in Berlin is absolutely heavenly! It's the sort of place you never want to leave because it feels so comfortable - in fact, there were days where I stayed in instead of exploring. Not just that, I even extended my stay by 2 days because I didn't want to leave!

The place is quite obviously built for giants, which gives a grandeur but yet coziness to it. It's like being wrapped in a big warm blanket and given hot chocolate on a cold winter day!

I might also add that he has the most well-equipped kitchen as well as DVD collection and projector combo which turns the living room into your very own cinema. Amaaaazing.

Ben is an incredibly gracious (and amusing) host who is happy to share food - a major plus in my books! If you're in Berlin, you'd be silly not to stay at Ben's. Best Airbnb experience yet!!

  • Really nice place to stay. And it's a pitty we had only one night. However I hope there'll be another time in Berlin and I will try some of vegan cakes :)

Your charming and convivial host, Ben, has lived extensively around Europe, settling for the next decade or so in Berlin. He is a long-time vegan and the apartment is vegetarian. He spends most of his time growing vegetables and blogging about it, singing Queen songs loudly and humming out of tune. He can be quieted with a gentle "shhh". He has previously been a librarian, language teacher, party organiser, computer programmer (you have almost definitely been on at least one website he had some part in), park ranger, hand model, professional story teller and sought after DJ. He is a fantastic cook. You can tell this by the bewildering number of different pots and pans he has.
