The space
Welcome to our romantic forest yurt—a peaceful, off-grid glamping stay near Sigulda and Gauja National Park. Whether you're here for a digital detox, an eco-friendly retreat, or simply to enjoy the crackling fire under starry skies, we’ve got everything you need for a memorable stay.
😴 SLEEPING & COMFORT
The yurt features a spacious king-size bed (can be split into two singles on request) with bed linens, towels, extra blankets, and mats for relaxing outdoors. You’ll find books and board games inside.
🍳 COOKING
A wood-fired outdoor stove is available for cooking with a pot and pan, as well as a barbecue grill with skewers (please bring your own charcoal). You can also heat water on the indoor wood stove or use a simple camping gas burner for making tea or coffee. Or treat yourself to a meal at the “Gulbji” farm’s garden café, right across the road - 10 min walk from the yurt.
🔋ELECTRICITY
Electricity is limited from battery but sufficient to charge your phone or watch a movie on a laptop. Please leave power-hungry devices like hair dryers, toasters, and irons at home to preserve the peaceful off-grid atmosphere.
🔥HEATING
The yurt is warmed by a wood-burning stove. We provide briquettes, firestarters, and matches. In autumn, the forest is especially magical, but nights can be chilly once the stove cools — bring along thermal layers and a warm hat for warmer sleep. It can get as cold as outdoor temperature, if the stove is cold.
🛁 OUTDOOR WILD BATH
Enjoy a relaxing soak in our fire-heated outdoor bathtub under the open sky. Heat it yourself in 1–2 hours (wood, firestarter, and instructions included), or let us prepare it for your arrival for €20. Water is drawn fresh from the well before each stay. For stays longer than two nights, we’ll refill it with fresh water.
🌲 NATURE & OUTDOOR SPACE
Unwind in comfortable chairs beside the campfire. You're welcome to collect fallen wood from the forest using the axe and saw provided, or purchase a ready-to-use firewood bag for €8. Composting toilet is located a short walk away in the forest.
🐾 PET-FRIENDLY
Well-behaved pets are welcome—please add them to your booking. Keep dogs off the bed and wipe muddy paws before entering. Kindly clean up after your pet on the grounds or walk them in the nearby forest.
Guest access
🚗 The final few hundred meters of the road are unpaved. You can park your car about 100 meters from the yurt and walk the rest of the way through the meadow.
Other things to note
🍴 Breakfast and/or dinner are available at a neighboring farm (approx. 10 minutes on foot). Enjoy traditional Latvian or international meals at “Gulbju saimniece Ginta”. Breakfast: €10/person. Dinner: à la carte (prices €5–15). Advance booking required.
🛏️ Extra foldable tourism beds are available for children only. Infants sharing the bed or using your own crib stay free.
👶 Parents are responsible for their children's safety inside the yurt and on the property.
