  • Tonka is very nice lady. Quick to reply and waited for us when our bus arrived late. She gave us the best apartment available and the bed was amazing! Thank you Tonka!

  • Location could not be more perfect. Room was on a beautiful side street in the old city, walking distance from literally everything (dubrovnik is quite small). The room had everything I could have needed! Thanks Tonka!

  • I stayed 3 nights and had no chance to meet Tonka but her son Antonio helped me a lot. They don't live in this apartment but we can call them whenever we need help (Once Antonio came all the way to help in 10 mins). The apartment is located inside the old town but not noisy - very good. I enjoyed to climb long steps from the main street every day. Thank you!

  • Dubrovnik is a must-do for anyone visiting Croatia, and this apartment was an excellent way to experience the old town. Wake up early to see the immaculate streets free of tourists, and make sure to walk the city walls at sunset.

  • Walked into the main entrance of the walled city. That was the wrong one. Learned the hard way by carrying our bags up the the long staircase. A lovely lesson but exhausting none the less. Tonka is wonderful and welcoming. Great spot. I'd stay there again. Excellent view from the bathroom of the entire old city. Nice restaurant nearby. Please have Tonka make a reservation for you. You'll enjoy it tremendously.

  • tonka met us bright and early when we arrived by overnight ferry, then helped us find another place when we wanted to stay an extra night (she didn't have a room). it was the best way to stay in the old city!

  • Has the basics with what you need with a bed, shared bathroom, and central location. Was a smooth check-in too. Lovely city and we enjoyed our time there.

As others have said, it's a small hike up a steep hill, but we felt it was worth it.

  • A wonderful 3 night stay hosted by Tonkas daughter Ivona who was genuinely friendly and helpful and helped us to get a sense of the "real" Dubrovnik aside from the tourist aspects.
Comfy bed, kitchen at our disposal and room to dry washing outside. The painting in the bedroom is Ivonas and will make you appreciate why she has her own exhibitions and website.
Wonderful views across rooftops from every window (even the toilet) ! We would definitely return.
Please buy a hat from the lady selling them just outside the front door - she has no English but always has a smile.
Lady Pi-Pi restaurant just along the street has amazing views and good food.

  • Great location within the old city walls. Not difficult to find if you follow the instructions. Room was in a 2 bedroom apartment so bathroom was shared with one other room but it wasn't a problem and was clean. The room was clean and the air conditioning was nice to have at night. Wifi was patchy and stopped working after the first day but Tonka and Antonio (her son) were very helpful and even leant us a laptop to use. They were lovely hosts and were contactable by phone or email if we needed them. Yes there were indeed some stairs but that's the beauty of old town. There was an option to reach the apartment with less stairs also but we thought the exercise was good. And as others have suggested try the restaurant next door (Lady Pipi), the sea bass was delicious!
    Thanks Tonka and Antonio!

  • We had a wonderful stay in beautiful Dubrovnik with Tonka! She was a wonderful and considerate host (bringing our washing in off the line for us and leaving us fresh towels every day!) The room was clean and had plenty enough room for the two of us. The location was amazing ( and the steps through the old town kept us fit!) thankyou for a great stay!
