Hanging out cool, in Friedrichshain.
Friedrichshain is situated east of Alexander-platz and is probably the last resort for Berlin’s famous alternative subculture. It is the last district to have been cleared of squatters and is still the center of Berlin's left-wing anarchist scene.
Architecturally speaking, Friedrichshain is an intriguing mix of monumental Stalin-era mammoths (along Karl-Marx-Allee) and stylish, late-nineteenth century town houses. The area around Simon-Dach-Straße and Boxhagenerplatz is heaving with alternative bars, cafes and clubs and is a popular spot with students and artists as well as young Berliners.
Every Saturday Boxhagenerpaltz offers a farmer’s Market while every Sunday the popular flea Market specializes in Gdr souvenirs, young artists selling their work, records, books as well as trash you may just take a shine to. Not far from here is the East Side Gallery, a piece of the wall one kilometer long that after the fall of the wall was turned into a work of art by international artists. On the other side of the wall is the Spree river which also boasts bars and clubs along its banks.
For an inner city district, Friedrichshain offers a large amount of green areas perfect for walking, grilling or simply relaxing. The Friedrichshain Volkspark, one of the biggest parks in Berlin and bursting with activity, is a short bike ride away.
From the underground station Frankfurter Tor its only short 5 minute trip to Alexanderplatz, with its numerous tourist curiosities (television tower, red City council, Berlin cathedral, the museum island (with Pérgamon Museum, altes Museum, Old national Gallery, Bodemuseum, Museum GDR and the Berliner Dom- the great cathedralof berlin), and an endless list of historical and magnificent squares and buildings.
The best known monument of Berlin is doubtless the “Brandenburger Tor”. It has been a symbol for Berlin in all times: before Germany ’s reunification as well as today. The “Neue Regierungsviertel” (new governmental district) is located between the districts of Berlin Mitte and Tiergarten.

Eitan's flat is really great, located in an amazing area, close to shops, bars, restaurants and easy access to transportation. Everything was as advertised and could not ask for more.
This apartment was just perfect for us. Not too small and a good public transport connection to the arreas we had to be. A good extra clean, because of my dust allergy, was no problem.
I haven't met Eitan personally, but he had arranged everything very professionally. The apartment was simple but it had everything you might need, plus a great location.
Eitan's apartment worked perfectly: the location is great, close to tons of restaurants and public transportation. It's also super quiet as opposed to hotels in busier areas. Will definitely book again when I'm back in Berlin.
Great studio in Friedrichshain. Everything nice and tidy.
Eitan was very professional, fast and efficient. Very nice guy too. Couldn't have asked for anything more. :)
The apartment is spacious with everything you need. Was less than zero outside and the apartment was still warm without the heating on. Great location for bars, cafes, restaurants and transport.
I would definitely recommend both the apartment and Eitan :)
Eitan's flat provided everything you would need for a short stay in Berlin - I stayed for 1 week.
The flat is surrounded by places to eat and drink, a park, supermarkets, and cafes. It is a great base to explore the local neighbourhood as well as other districts close by like Kreuzberg and Prenzlaur berg, and within 15 minutes you can be in Alexanderplatz from the local U-bahn.
The interior of the flat itself was exceptionally clean and tidy, spacious for a studio, and comfortable. There are cooking utensils and cutlery including pots and pans and a microwave, a large double bed, plenty of storage space for clothes, and a nice bathroom with a good shower.
Overall the flat is excellent value for money and Eitan is a reliable, efficient, and friendly host.
I would highly recommend this apartment.
Stayed for a great 6 nights at Eitan's apartment, very easy and flexible check-in and check-out.
Apartment was well located near U-Bahn and Metro stations.
The flat was very clean. There are a lot of bars with in a few minutes walk but it's still nice and quite. Our hosts were very accommodating with check in and check out times
Great studio, lots of light, spotless and in a very nice location.
