About this listing
Architect-designed Victorian flat on Dalston / Stoke Newington border. Double bedroom + double wall bed. Bifold doors open to large garden; dishwasher, WIFI, flatscreen, vintage decor. Cafes + bars galore. Real home from home in best part of London.
Hi, we are Ben and Sara, we live in a stunning Victorian flat with its own private garden in Dalston, East London. Sara is an architect and recently designed the place - we doubled the size of it and refurbished the entire flat.
It's a Victorian flat with a mixture of new and vintage decor. We have a new kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machine and coffee maker; and a large dining table.
This leads on to the lounge with a study area, flatscreen TV, rooflights and underfloor heating.
Bifold doors open up (entirely) on to a large garden fitted with artificial grass. We have petanque and skittles, deckchairs and yoga mats that you're welcome to use during your stay.
The bathroom is (like the rest of the flat) brand new, has a great shower and a huge bathtub.
The bedroom has a double bed with a brand new super comfy double mattress and new bedding. In the lounge there is a separate fold-down wall bed (Murphy bed to the Americans out there). Both beds are doubles and have the same mattress. The wall bed is essentially a proper bed, the only difference being that it's in the lounge and folds up/down. Great for watching films in bed.
The flat would suit a couple wanting a spacious stay or up to 4 sharers.
This is a real home from home in the city on a quiet Victorian street.
Entire flat, private garden.

A real home from home - all we ask is that you look after it like you would look after your own place.
And it's probably obvious but no smoking in the flat (fine in the garden).
It is really nice flat to stay for travel or visiting. Really nice neighborhood, nice interior, quiet place for chilling and comfort garden. And the place located really nice position for young people and elders as well. Thank you Ben and Sara. Thank you for all your kind explanation and place!
We could not have been made more welcome in this lovely flat. Ben and Sara had left us with a lot of useful information about the area and the flat was even nicer than on the photos. It was a real pleasure to be able to sit outside in the balmy summer evenings. The flat has a roomy shower/bathroom and a very comfortable sitting room with the guest bed. Note: the bed is placed beneath the sky-lights so it gets light in the mornings quite early in summer, but this didn't bother us. The flat is also close to some very nice pubs. We'd love to stay again.
We had a really nice time in London in architect's flat. It's a beautiful and cozy place, a nice refuge from the busy city. Sara welcomed us with some good tips and fresh flowers. The beds are really good, even for my friend who has serious back problems. The neighbourhood is nice, with a big vintage shop, and the best Turkish restaurants in London. The bus took us quickly to the centre. So I strongly recommend this place!
Once I arrived, I received sweetest welcome from Ben and Sara. Gifts, essentials, detailed instructions and guid of the area...they kindly provide with everything one can need for a lovely stay. Their apartment locates perfectly in vibrant east London. Sara has done an amazing job on renovating it. In short words, it is truly much more than on the photos. Plus skylights and under-floor heating, still can't believe my luck of finding this gem!
Really great - perfect neighbouring flat for family in London for Christmas. Thanks!
Ben and Sara's apartment was pretty much perfect- better than it looks in photos if that's even possible. They are also the sweetest, kindest and most considerate hosts. Could not recommend he apartment more.
We had a lovely stay at Architect's Garden Flat. Ben and Sarah were great hosts (and mum too!). The layout and design was lovely and a very comfortable nights sleep was had. Lovely to meet Mr. Fox and thank you for the welcome bottle of wine!
